Story
Ginny  is super sweet and playful, especially with other dogs. She's a little skittish at first and takes a little while to warm up, but once she's comfortable with you, she is sweet, a champion snuggler, and an all-around great companion. Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on a leash. Does well on a leash. Likes to stop and smell all the smells. Describe how they are with other dogs?   Ginny  LOVES to play with all her foster fur siblings! She'll also snuggle up with them once they're all tuckered out. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Unknown Commands they know?  She comes when called.  What are their favorite things?  Playing with other dogs, chewing on toys and treats, and snuggling with her people. She also enjoys being outside and exploring our backyard. What do they need to work on?   Ginny  is still learning what's okay and not okay to chew. She'll need lots of toys that are safe for chewing and some patience and understanding while she figures it out.  How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  She has been alone for up to 8 hours and has been okay. She may howl briefly as we leave but then quiets down. She is generally happy in her crate and has a good view of all her foster fur siblings. Where do they sleep?  In a small crate in our bedroom. She sleeps well through the night and enjoys a morning snuggle in our bed when there's time. What is their ideal home?   Ginny 's perfect home includes at least one other similarly-sized dog because doggy playtime is her favorite thing. She'll need a family who can give her some time and space to get comfortable, as she can be pretty skittish initially. She'll also need patience as she learns what's okay to chew and what's not. Once she's comfortable with you and all settled in, she is an excellent companion and will reward you with epic snuggles and much love. Ginny likes kids and has done well with her foster siblings (ages 3-8), but she may also need some patience in learning appropriate playtime behaviors with them. April 11, 2024, 5:29 pm

Story
Indie is a female dog born on March 4, 2023. She is my first ever pet that my colleague gave to me when I worked in Indiana, hence the name "Indie." She is a very sweet dog, gives lots of kisses, and likes cuddling. I did not have any experience training a dog, but she gets my routine. My dog is potty-trained. She can be left in the house while I am at work without messing up, unless there are some medical issues like diarrhea from, let's say, new diet. She is kennel-trained. She comes in to kennel and sees it as a comfort area. She can also be left in the kennel while I am at work. Other good behavior my dog shows includes being able to understand not to bother me when I am in bed reading or using my phone. She also does not come in the room when doors are closed or half-way closed unless she is invited. We live on the second floor, and another interesting behavior she has is being able to go down the stairs, pee and come back upstair with supervision. I don't have to accompany my...

He likes to take his time warming up to new people but once you have his trust, he is a snuggle bug who will follow his people everywhere giving kisses and asking for pets. Omelette is playful and gentle with other dogs, even dogs much larger than him, and could use a doggy-sibling of any size to help him build his confidence. He enjoys taking easy and quiet, neighborhood walks. Cutie Omelette is potty trained, loves treats, and okay at home alone for a few hours in his foster house. He is estimated to be around 6 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Story
Looks like: Rat Terrier mix Female, 6 years old (estimated), 10 pounds Little Harley may have only one eye, but she's not letting anything slow her down! This spunky girl has an incredibly fun-loving attitude and is always ready for playtime, snuggle time, dinner time, and every time in between! She greets every adventure with the sweetest wagging tail! Harley gets nervous around children and would do best in a household without them, but she would do well with other doggy companions. We actually think she is most comfortable with other dogs in the home that are more on the 'submissive' side as Harley likes to be queen bee so she is searching for a home with another dog (or dogs) present so she will be most comfortable. We have not yet seen her with cats. Harley can be defensive sometimes in new situations, surely something many of us can relate to, so she's looking for someone who is patient. We're also excited to share with you tools to help you and Harley on this journey together. This loveable gal was found as a stray and brought into Hitchcock Road Animal Services before being taken into our care. Harley had a prolapsed eye, and the HRAS staff were able to remove it. We have been able to continue to provide much-needed care.

Story
Looks like: Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix Female, 6 years old (estimated), 9 pounds She may be small, but Mini has a mighty big heart. This sweet little girl is just looking for her forever family, where she can spend her days getting all the cuddles she could ever want. Mini shows her love with full-body wiggles, which she gets overcome by whenever she can spend time snuggling and chomping on her favorite treats. Mini is great with dogs of her size or smaller, but she may be happiest as the apple of her next family's eye, allowing them more time to give her all the cuddles she could possibly want without having to share. We have not seen Mini interact with kitties, but she's great with kiddos, especially if they like to cuddle! This little lady is vision-impaired, so she needs eye drops and requires patience and redirection, especially when on walks. She is also looking for a home without stairs to keep her safe. Little Mini came to us from San Jose Animal Care Center so we could provide her with the medical help she needed.

Story
Looks like: Rat Terrier mix Female, 12 years old (estimated), 10 pounds This sweet little flower can be a bit shy when first meeting her, but don't let that fool you! She'll really blossom once she bonds with you and realized you can give her the love and snuggles she is searching for. When Lavender blooms and opens up to people, that's when you see her real personality shine through, a personality that loves giving kisses, getting pets, and receiving just as much love as she loves to give. Lavender can be a bit over-enthusiastic when meeting other dogs at times, which some pups may not take a liking to. But with a mellow companion that doesn't mind Lavender in their 'bubble' she'd be a great match for the right doggy sibling! We have not yet seen Lavender interact with cats, but as far as kids go, she would do best in a home without them as she can sometimes use her mouth to express displeasure at times. This little lady came to us from Santa Cruz County Animal Services so we could address her medical needs.
