Story
Handsome Johnnie needs a loving home. He is a 9 ½ -month-old, 55-pound, tan, smooth coated, mix: his vet sees a smidge of Great Dane / Rhodesian Ridgeback; Though his brothers DNA shows that they are mostly American Staffordshire terrier, Chihuahua and German Shepherd, interesting mix. Johnnie has pretty eyes and gorgeous ears. His mom Jessie looks like a small Shepherd/Corgi mix. He is 100% adorable. When he was a baby puppy, Johnnie was found with his mother and siblings living under a freeway underpass. He was adopted but his current family is in poor health and is not able to meet his needs. He needs an active family that will play with him daily. He would love to join you all on life’s adventures? He enjoys cuddles and kisses He loves toys so please have lots of KONG Type / heavy duty toys. He is still a puppy! He would love for you to teach him some tricks. He is leashed trained and enjoys his walks. He is potty trained and used to being kept on a schedule. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Johnnie would love to be your new best friend. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. Story
Monty came to us when he was 3 months old from a loving home in Yuba City where he got to play with litter mates. He is an incredibly smart and loving puppy that deserves more time and energy than we have to give him. Monty lives indoors with a cat and two young kids, is potty trained, crate trained, and has shown real promise on the leash. He went through some training and has had no problem picking up commands. He’s also spent time at a doggy daycare with a number of other dogs and gets along well with them all. Monty is good with loud noises, hasn’t shown any food aggression, and is not a barker. He does have a lot of energy which if not redirected can lead to boredom digging or chewing. We’ve lost a couple of kids toys to this, but overall he does a really good job of sticking to his chew toys. Looking for a loving home that has the time and energy to give Monty what he needs and deserves. We’ll be including his crate, toys, harness, etc. Thank you!

Story
Ace is from a litter of eight puppies born on March 7 in an overcrowded Central Valley Shelter. Rescued along with their affectionate mother (her picture is included) on March 19, the puppies arrived with their eyes still closed. Their mother, Diamond is a sweet 55 lb. girl, aptly named for her precious nature. While the identity of the father remains a mystery, judging by Diamond’s size and the puppies’ weight at 7 weeks, their adult weight is estimated to be around 50-60 lbs. At their foster home, the puppies spend their nights snuggled together in two large, combined exercise pens. By day, they eagerly explore and play in the large side yard and love when humans come to play and interact with them. The puppies will be spayed/neutered on May 9 and ready to go to their forever homes. If you are prepared to take on the rewarding challenge of raising one of these adorable puppies to be your new BFF, please complete our application that can be found on our website: 1luckydogrescue.org or contact their foster mom, Nancy at nancymoore016@gmail.com. If contacting by email, please tell us a little about the home you would offer the puppy.
