Story
Imani 🤎 Imani and her sister, who already found her furever home, were pulled from a rural shelter after being placed on the Code Red List. Needless to say, she walked out and has been living her best life ever since. Imani lives in a foster home with other pups and does great!. Imani wasn't exposed to much early on which makes new situations scary. This means she needs someone that can offer clear structure and help her overcome scary moments. Once she’s comfortable she knows who she is and turns into what her foster mom affectionately calls "Party Imani". Imani is working on learning her best manners in the house and on leash while building up her confidence but sometimes Party Imani gets the best of her. Imani is a sassy girl that knows how to use her puppy eyes and goofy behavior traits to get some extra attention. She’s an expert cuddler once she knows you and doesn’t believe in personal space. We are looking for a home with dog experience that’s willing to offer clear structure, encourage boundaries for Party Imani, and won't encourage scaredy dog behavior but will help her. If you're wanting a gorgeous young pup that's going to be on the larger side, Imani could be the one for you. Story
Lacey is a pretty young, 2 year old, 50 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback mix girl that lived the first years of life on a chain outside in a man’s backyard.  She has had a few litters of pups and PREFERS to be the only queen of the house.  Being always chained, many dogs have a defensive attitude of being jumped on and often prefer to be the only pet in the home.  She is very sweet and loving and adores meeting new people and making friends.  She loves men especially and is gentle with children.  She is so very calm and easy going around the house.  She is not a fan of the crate because it is new to her.   She was never crated until now.  She doesn’t seem to be destructive at all in the house.  She loves sleeping on the bed at night and will sleep right next to you.  She has been in HEAVEN because she has never had the inside comforts of a home.  This smart girl can be taught so many things.  Please consider giving her a comfy and loving home and the life she deserves.  She is ready now!  She is housebroken and loves car rides and can travel to a new home anywhere.  If you want a well rounded and easy dog, you really need to pick Lacey!!!   Email Critter Cavalry Rescue and ask for an application to adopt.   Email:  ccrtennessee@gmail.com  She is ready to pack her bags and head fast as lightning to a new dog bed and people who will treat her like a Queen. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

~ I can live in a single family home or condo.~ I want to live with adults who are familiar with rambunctious dogs. I may consider sharing my home with teenagers who are experienced with dogs.~ I have not had much experience with cats or dogs but am willing to consider sharing my home with a furry friend.~ I am a high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.~ I am a great dog with lots of potential. I need to live with a family who has owned active and rambunctious dogs before, and is familiar with positive reinforcement training.~ I am still learning and want to get off to a great start in my new home, so I will need to continue my training. Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.4/7/24 Meet Ridge. Ridge and his siblings were being given away in a parking lot. Luckily, one of our fosters saw this happening and took the last 3. Ridge is approx. 9 weeks old and we believe is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He may have some Catahoula mixed in there too! He sports the trademark 'mohawk' on his back. Good with dogs, cats, and kids. He will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. We anticipate that he’ll be ready to go to his new home at the beginning of May. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.
