Story
This little sweetie is looking for someone with a big, big heart to take care of her. She's dealing with an autoimmune deficiency called Masticatory Muscle Myositis in which her immune system attacks the muscles around her mouth and head. All of this is manageable with a special diet and medication, but she's going to need someone who is ready for that responsibility. She's one of the kindest dogs I've ever met, very curious, and sweet as could be. If you're interested in meeting Coco, fill out an application here: https://acesangels.org/aceadopt.html

Hi there, I'm Broly! I'm a sweet, friendly, and energetic fellow, ready to fill your life with joy. I get along great with kids over 8 years old and I'm a pro at walking with a no-pull harness. I'm all about being the center of attention, so I'd do best in a home where I'm the only dog. And treats? Oh boy, do I love treats! I'm always up for a tasty snack. Why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to be your loyal companion, always ready to make you smile with my playful antics and loving nature. Let's make some wonderful memories together!April 17, 2024, 9:59 pm

Puppies are a lot of fun, but also a lot of responsibility! Things you should be aware of before adopting a puppy from the Denver Animal Shelter:* Puppies will need regular socialization. The critical time period for socialization is between 8 and 16 weeks, but it is important to continue to socialize your new pup throughout their young life. This means having positive and enjoyable interactions with as many new people, new dogs, and new environments as possible. Appropriate socialization will help puppies grow into healthier and more social adults.* They will not know what is appropriate to chew on, where they should go to the bathroom, and how to behave in all situations. Puppies require a lot of time spent on training, management, and supervision. It is recommended that puppies be crate trained or kept in a puppy-proofed room of the house with appropriate chew toys and enrichment when not actively supervised. The Denver Animal Shelter always recommends positive reinforcement-based training methods. * Puppies in a shelter environment often have unknown parentage. While we make our best guesses on size and breed, we cannot guarantee their adult temperament, behavior, size, or characteristics.More about this puppy:No stopping until you visit with Brooklyn!!!Brooklyn is waiting for her forever home to teach her how to be a perfect dog. She has been learning lots here at the shelter and is slowly worming her way into all of our hearts. She is shy and needs a home with kids 12 and up so that she can come out of her shell. Come see the little girl that is stealing our attention; come see Brooklyn today!* Kids 12+ mandatory
