Story
Meet "Ramblin" Rose. She is a sweet one year old Cavapoo rescued from a commercial breeder. She got her name, because 20 min. after the foster brought her home she slipper her collar, and escaped through a open spot under the fence. She gone for 3 days until she was caught with the help of Berks Dog Search, fellow Volunteers and her fosters wonderful neighbors. Needless to say, she will need in a secure fenced in secure yard as her requirement. She is tiny at only 8lbs, and is so cute. She has fallen in Love with her foster mom, and is her shadow side. She Loves to be snuggled and lay on your lap. Her fosters love to give her hugs and kisses , which she returns! Rosie will need regular grooming, ideally every 6 to eight weeks, and regular brushing. She is starting to act her age and get more playful, but really gets nervous and shy around new people. She will need a very patient adopter to be patient and earn her trust. We suggest no children under the age of 6 because of how shy she is and loud noises can spook her. Housetraining is going pretty well, she just consistently with taking her out in her new home. She will also use a pee pad if available. She sleeps in her crate thru the night w/o a peep. The foster is working on her eating habits, she can be very finicky, but is very treat motivated. She is spayed, on preventatives, microchipped and UTD on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $550. She is available to apply through our website: zoeshouserescue.com. Story
Personality Overload Special Needs alert Binks has been a huge hit with everyone he has met. We can't believe he still hasn't found his people. Please check out his bio below and apply today. If he's not the right fit for you, please share his story! You never know who might be searching for this little guy Binks is a social little guy who has never met a stranger cuz everyone he meets is instantly his best friend. This little 10 pound guy will steal your heart the moment you lay eyes on him and you will fall madly in love after you hear his story! Binks was surrendered to Zoe's House due to uncontrollable seizures. His previous owners had a very active household and they were unable to provide Binks with the quiet, calm household he needed to live his best life. You see, Binks was born deaf. He cannot rely on his hearing to know what is going on around him and the high activity levels in his previous home were just too much for him to handle. Binks is currently on a low dose of meds for his seizures and they are now much better controlled . He will probably need to continue these meds (about $10 a month) for the rest of his life. Binks is currently in foster care with other dogs of all sizes as well as cats. He loves the other dogs and cats in his foster home and enjoys hanging out with them. He would do well in a home with other pets but he would also be perfectly content as the only "Apple of your eye A low activity home with no children is required for Binks. Visitors are fine, he actually loves kids but the constant commotion of an active young family will be too much for him to handle. Binks is neutered and UTD on vacines, dewormed, and microchipped. He is housebroken when taken out regularly, although regression is common in a new environment. He does not like his crate, at all... he actually HATES it and his protest bark is really loud! So a home where someone is around often would be ideal for him. He just wants to spend his days snuggled next to you on the couch or in bed with you at night. Story
Hi! My name is Charlie. I am a little guy with big personality. I was found as a stray and picked up by the Humane League till Zoe's House came to get me. I'm a mini poodle and at a whopping 9lbs, am full grown! We do not know how old I am, but think it's somewhere between 4 & 5 years old. I am my foster mom's first foster and she says I could not have been a better way to start! I am in good health. I am up to date a vaccines and heartworm negative. I have been neutered, microchipped, and had some teeth pulled, though I do not require soft food. I am food motivated and love almost anything, especially freeze dried treats. As tiny as I am, I'm not intimidated by much! I am large and small dog friendly. I will walk right up to the big boys to say hello, even if they are barking at me. I am cat friendly, by that I mean I'm curious but don't chase them, and their hissing sure doesn't scare me. Since being at my foster home I have had so many new experiences. I have learned to go up and down stairs though I still stumble sometimes. I know to go potty outside when I am taken out, and don't have accidents if I am taken out regularly. But I am happy to wear a belly band while inside to be safe. My foster mom says most days it stays dry. I get cold easily and don't mind wearing shirts to keep me warm. I did not mind being bathed and try to climb in the shower with my foster mom. I am a poodle breed which means I will need brushed regularly and groomed every 1-2 months. My foster dad says I tolerate that well. I have not been small child tested but would like a home with older or no children better for healthy boundaries and quieter environment. I ride in the car well but am not a fan of a crate. Even at night I sleep with my foster brothers in the big bed with my foster parents. I can walk on a leash but enjoy the freedom of a fenced backyard to explore, though it is not required. Due to my size I can easily slip through fences so I need to be watched in case I explore too far. My favorite things are snuggling with my foster mom, and playing with my foster brothers. I am happy to rest in your arms but come alive around other puppers. While I like to be the apple of your eye, I would do best in a home with other doggos to continue to teach me how to enjoy my new life as a pup.
