Story
Meet Reed, who is a very shy boy at first. He has the sweetest eyes that just melt your heart. He looks more Boxer with his adorable muzzle. He’s black and white with a cute white tip on his tail. He has a dapper prance when he walks. He LOVES to be outside to run and play. He loves attention and his most favorite things is stealing socks. When he’s not outside running and playing, he’s at his spot on the couch with a blanket. He is always up in the morning (almost 6 on the dot) ready to go out and potty and then it’s time to eat. He’s such a good boy! Per foster; fenced-in yard required

Story
Welcome Gunner to the FHL Family! Gunner was found on Kennedy Road in Thomasville off of 109 and is a 50-pound Pit mix. He jumped into his foster's truck like he was meant to be in it. He's super friendly, loves to sunbathe, chew on his rope, and is a big fan of treats. Gunner loves to cuddle and sit in your lap. He is quiet in the car, and doesn't bark too much, unless his foster dad gets on the lawn mower. Gunner is neutered, housetrained, kennel trained, and does well with other dogs. So far, he doesn't seem to be a big fan of cats. He is heartworm positive and has started on his treatment, in which our rescue will be paying for until he is negative. Story
Meet Joe, who originally came to us from the Rowan County Animal Shelter. Joe is a 1–2-year-old, 52 lb., German Shepherd. He has had all of shots is neutered and is microchipped. He came to us as rescue only due to fear issues. He is not aggressive in any way, nor does he shake / tremble. He is just nervous. Joe was adopted from us several months ago, but unfortunately, he stayed out in the yard because the adopters said they couldn't catch him, so they just left him out. The adopters returned him back to us on 12/30/23. Joe gets along well with all sized dogs and is social. While in foster care before he got adopted, he had started wagging his tail and socializing but now with the previous adopters not really working with him he's back to being shut down again. He will need time to adjust and get comfortable with his new home and does require a 6 ft. fence and having another dog (for companionship) in the family. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful boy, please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
