Story
Three-year old Justice is an extremely loving and loyal pup, who is hungry for love and longing for an adopter to bond with. Justice is extremely smart and soulful. He is very obedient and eager to please. He is great with commands. He is also very intelligent and very low maintenance. He prefers laying at your feet or sitting with you more than anything. When he’s active, Justice loves playing fetch, his favorite game! A fully fenced yard will be a great inclusion in his life. Justice is good with both dogs and cats. Actually, he has had many dog and cat foster siblings and has always gotten along with all of them. We do not know how he is with kids as he has never lived with children. But he is big, so he can knock them down. Therefore we prefer a home without young kids. Justice weighs 75 lbs, and is fully vaccinated for 3 years, neutered, and microchipped. Justice has completed 6 months of board and train, and his trainer will offer complimentary training for life now, either in person or by facetime or video chat. He is a great pup, full of love. He is comfortable around people, and loves car rides. He needs a strong parent who he can look up to, and he will be the best child forever. Iris

German Shepherd Dog

Female, 1 yr
Houston, TX
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
10 months old Iris is a sweet and shy girl. She is social with dogs of any size but takes her time to approach new people. Iris loves retrieving balls and likes to run around in the backyard with her sister Ines and her other foster siblings. Iris likes meeting new dogs, but can be shy with some dogs who are too energetic with her. She likes friendly dogs who aren’t in your face. She is Good with children. Her foster mom brings her granddaughters age 3 and 6 to her home every day. Iris hasn’t been cat-tested and doesn’t live with any cats but she doesn’t run after the outdoor cats that live in her neighborhood. Iris is potty-trained. Her foster mom doesn’t like to crate but Iris has traveled in crates to the vet and to the park and she doesn’t complain about this. Iris is on the chill side. Her foster mom walks once every couple of days. Iris releases her energy by doing zoomies in the backyard with her sister Ines and other dog friends. Iris needs more leash-training. She doesn’t pull but isn’t used at the leash yet. She knows “sit” in Spanish but would benefit from learning more commands such as “give paws”, “stay”, “come.” She is a very cuddly dog but would benefit from socialization with new dogs and people. Iris currently weighs about 42 Lbs and will grow up to become a medium sized dog. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, and heartworm negative. She is kept on preventatives. She can travel to many states and Canada for the right home. Iris would be happy in a home where she can have a doggie sibling (boy or girl) because she is used to hanging out with more than 4 dogs at the same time. She would do well with young children who are gentle with her and who can get her stimulated by playing ball with her. She is very intelligent and would do great with a family that can get her out on car rides or on hikes to parks and/or beaches. Rescue story: Iris was found living with her family (her sister Ines, brother Andy, and mom April) at 4 months of age under an abandoned house. Sadly, the neighbors in this area mistreated dogs. Iris wasn’t welcome there and had to hide under that house and could only come out at night. Fortunately, her foster mom spotted this little family and got them safe. Her brother Andy passed away 2 days after he arrived to the foster home because he was severely malnourished. Iris, her mom, and sister Ines were also very skinny but were able to gain strength thanks to their foster mom. In a few months, Iris was able to grow into a beautiful and curious dog. To adopt Iris, please send an application via savesomesouls.com Yards must be fully fenced to adopt our pups.
