Story
Are you ready to double the love and double the joy in your life? Look no further than Johnny and Loretta, the dynamic duo you've been waiting for! These two inseparable siblings are 12-year-old miniature poodle Chihuahua mixes, and they come as a package deal because they share a bond that's truly heartwarming. Loretta, our petite princess, tips the scales at a dainty 5 lbs, while Johnny, the more robust of the two, weighs in at around 10 lbs. They've got their potty training and doggy door etiquette down to a T, making them perfect companions for a cozy home. But what truly sets Johnny and Loretta apart is their charming personalities. Since entering their foster home, they've blossomed into two delightful furballs who thrive on human company. These little furries just want to be where their foster parents are, showering them with affection and endless tail wags. Loretta is the twinkle-toed dancer of the pair. She'll spin in excited circles when she's feeling joyful, spreading happiness wherever she goes. On the other hand, Johnny is the playful one, always up for a game and ready to fill your days with laughter. Outdoors, they revel in the simple pleasures of life – rolling around in the grass and soaking up the sun's warmth. Yet, their favorite moments are spent snuggled up together, enjoying sweet, shared naps. Their bond is unbreakable, and they are truly the best of friends. When Johnny and Loretta first came to us, they were in a sorry state due to flea damage and hair loss. But thanks to the loving care of their foster parents, their skin has healed beautifully, and their fur has regrown. Yes, they've each had some dental work done, so they're sporting just three teeth each, but don't let that stop you! They do just fine with softened dry food. Loretta does take a medication, Thyrosyn, to manager her thyroid levels. If you have room in your heart and home for these lovable seniors, consider adopting Johnny and Loretta together. Their story is one of resilience, transformation, and the enduring power of love. These two precious souls are ready to bring warmth and happiness into your life, so why wait? We know there is a lover of senior dogs out there ready to give them the forever home they deserve! They are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Story
Meet senior lady Biscuit! She is a 9 year 10 month old Shih Tzu and weighs 17 lbs. She is looking for a special forever home to spend her golden years in. Biscuit came to us from a large scale breeding operation in October. She was born there and spent her entire life until that point not being accustomed to human interaction outside of being bred. She also came to us heartworm positive and with a tickborne disease. She has recovered from both and is ready to find something she has never had, a family of her own. Her foster family has had a slow and long process at gaining her trust. But she has made a lot of progress! Even though she is still a bit wary when it comes to physical interaction, she becomes more used to it the more it occurs. What she does not shy away from are her doggy brothers and sisters and most definitely food. She lines up with the other fosters for treats and will let you know when you are being a tad bit slow on getting her food. She also does great quality work when it comes to making sure no one's food bowls are left with a speck of food left in them. As you may guess when looking at her eyes, she has limited sight and requires drops twice a day for chronic dry eye. Biscuit also has limited hearing. While having her senses impaired, this lady still has years of life and love to live. She would do best in a home without small children and one that has a lot of patience and love to give a senior lady who has lived almost her whole live without either. Daily one on one interaction is a must for this little girl as she will regress into her old, shy and scared self that she became due to years of trauma. This doesn't require a lot, just being near her, bringing her onto the chair or couch with you does wonders for her heart and confidence. If you think your family and home are a good fit for what this deserving lady needs, you can apply to meet / adopt her at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application Biscuit is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
