  Bandit is a 2- to 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a great personality.  (Look at that face!)  Even though he weighs only about 10 pounds, his love of life is huge!  He’s a very dapper fella, too, with his long white and tan coat and his tail that curls over his back.  He’s especially proud of that tail and tries to show it off whenever possible.  Although we aren’t sure how he is around small children, Bandit gets along well with other dogs as well as his foster’s cat. He's a terrific dog!  (posted 3/13/23, TN) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . Mushu is a 3 years young shitzu that has had a hard life. Due to severe neglect, he got an infection and had to have a back leg amputated. He has become very snuggly velcro guy to his small inner circle but will charge and bite anyone that isn't on his approved list. Due to this, he has to be muzzled to go to the vet and will probably have to be groomed at home. Also, he has to be crated for guest. He likes most dogs and is playful. The way to work through his approval is to pet him with a loofah and give him treats until he likes you. Expect his intro to you to be hours on weekends until he says he is good with it.

*IN FOSTER* Ava is a lovable goofball who will never leave your side. Some of her favorite games include fetch (she LOVES balls!), tug-of-war, pulling the stuffing out of her stuffed animals. She loves to cuddle for warmth and gets excited when she wears her sweater. She's a small girl so she gets intimidated by children and would be best suited in a family with no children. She has not lived in a home with cats but has tried to chase them before, she may not do the best in a home with cats. She is housetrained and will go outside to "go potty". She is kennel trained and will seek solace under blankets for bad weather. She is afraid of groomers so needs someone who is trained with fearful dogs and can give her lots of patience and treats.
