There's not much more you could ask for than this adorable girl, Buttercup! She's a young female shih tzu mix with a playful personality full of energy and affection. Buttercup loves to run around and play, but she also loves nothing more than curling up on the couch for a good snuggle. She's an excellent companion and will be by your side through all of life's ups and downs. She loves kids and people, and has done well with cats and dogs. Buttercup is sure to make you smile! Oscar is the sweetest and kindest soul, He is OLD. There's no other way to describe him, His skin is in rough shape, bumpy and has rough patches, it looks like he has had some grooming in the past, but there's not been attention to flea treatment or actual bathing. His nails were far too long for comfort. He was very dirty when he came to us. Oscar was very sweet and gentle in spite of this. Noting this, we can say that Oscar likes a soft bed, good food, (and he's very thin), and his own space. He will give a little low growl to let you know that he likes to lay quietly right where he is. Ideally, we could see Oscar in a home that understands he needs patience, love, and a soft place to lay, in a calm and quiet environment. Oscar can't see well, probably can't hear great. He is in line for a vet exam and hopefully we will be able to get his remaining teeth cared for. We know that Oscar is at least 14 years old because he came to Rescue with a microchip that was placed 14 years ago. There was no contact information with the chip. Sadly, an owner couldn't be identified. We are hoping to give this elderly guy a gentle loving here on out home. He deserves this.

Is your dog looking to adopt a dog for companionship? Rob would love to be your dog's best buddy. He would love them and squeeze them and snuggle them and spend every moment of the day with them and the best part is that he would not bother you at all. It would be like you still only had one dog! Rob is the absolute perfect gift for the dog in your life that desperately needs a friend. Since we know your dog isn't made of money, we'd be happy to trade for a couple of good chew bones, or a nice 40lb bag of good quality dog food, or even a nice bolster pet bed. You can let your dog know that we are open for negotiations. In case you didn't get the inference, Rob does not care for humans. He will hang out in the same room with you and will even sleep in your bed if you allow him too. What he won't do is snuggle with you, let you pet him or get leashed up easily. He is 100% a dog's dog and is perfectly happy with his doggie besties. However, HE DOES NOT PLAY. He just likes to cuddle with his dog buddies. Rob is not completely housebroken but will accompany his doggie friends out to do his business. In all honesty, his only redeeming characteristic is how cute he is. He has been in his current foster home for nearly two years and still barks at his foster mom as if he has never met her before in his life.  Rob will need someone willing to foster to adopt to make sure his adopter can handle his idiocinracies so anyone looking to adopt him needs to be within a 2-hour drive of Cloverdale indiana. Rob cannot easily be leashed, so a home with a fenced in yard would be best. Rob needs an adopter that is up to the challenge of having a dog that may not ever like you. Story

Molly is 2 years old (born 2/19/2022) and given to my daughter by a friend. She is an energetic, fun loving dog who loves to play. She's housebroke, knows several words ("Outside", "Potty", "Eat", "Treat", "Sit", "Lay down", "Shake", "get in your bed") and tricks using words/sign language (Sit, lay down, shake, high-five, up, kiss). Molly was spayed, vaccinated and microchipped 3/05/24. vaccines include rabies, bordetella, distemper/parvo/lepto. Molly is such a sweet dog, but requires a lot of physical energy that the average kid could easily keep up with, however, my daughter has a congenital heart defect and has underwent 3 open heart surgeries. She is struggling with physical limitations and I myself am struggling with a significant knee injury and having difficulty getting around and must use a cane most of the time. It's not fair to Molly to be cooped up all the time and we want her to go to a good home, hopefully with a fenced yard she can run in.
