What’s that? I’m not a Yorkie? You are correct! However, I am just the cutest, friendliest, happiest little Shih-tzu you are ever going to meet. And you know I’m special, because I’m on a yorkie site. This makes me stand out. Where did I come from? Well, my previous human mom was sick, so our neighbor took my sister, Bella, and I in. My mom eventually went to see God, so we were in need of a new home. Our savior reached out to Yorkie Haven Rescue for Bella, and when they found out that I needed a home too, they said, “we will take that baby also”. Good choice on their part! Because I am “The bee’s knees”! I know I’m too young for that expression, but I’m told it means “excellent, or the highest quality, often used to describe something that is not real”, BUT I AM! Real and available for adoption! You ready for me to describe myself? Drum roll, please!! I love playing with other playful pups my size. I’m also happy to meet the multitude of dogs at the dog park and other outings. I have a confident, approachable personality. Perfect middle of the road dog. Not too cocky, not too submissive. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was marking, but it was new and I had to mark my territory. Foster mom was not a fan of me staking a claim to everything in the house, so she threw a diaper on me. I know, embarrassing, but it worked. I’m so much better now. As long as you take me out enough. But, I’m sure when I enter my new forever home, I will mark there too. Everyone has a talent, right? Here’s mine! When I am outside using the restroom, I turn into an applicant for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. I do a handstand on my two front legs to do business. Shit you not! Lol I eat twice a day very well. I’m considered a social butterfly and tend to like all people that like me. I will try to play with toys, but kind of don’t know what to do with them. I would rather play with another dog or you. I will need help getting in and out of your bed at night. This is where I will be sleeping, right? I thought so! I walk great on a leash and truly get excited when foster mom grabs my harness and leash. It’s Go Time! However, I do love to explore my fenced back yard and will then retreat to the patio sofa with foster mom while she reads. Ahhh! What a life! I also like to sit on the sofa inside with my people. I love to sit in laps, be held, and give kisses. Foster mom has heard my vocals, but usually only when someone comes to the door. I’m normally not fazed by normal household noises, will take medicine ok in my food, don’t mind being brushed, and am easy to talk to. Be careful when opening doors, because I can be curious and I’m sure you won’t want to lose me once you have me. I told you I was confident. In my opinion, I’m a catch! I’m friendly, learn quickly, like to play, not afraid of anything, give nice clean kisses, sleep well and I’m cute! If you adopt me, you are not getting an “arm’s length” companion. So take that into account before you click on that application. I am clingy, and I am not going to change that. So, who is out there googling “rescue Shih-tzu”, “best dog ever”, “lovable companion”? I’m just saying, I’m right here, on a yorkie website waiting for that person that is just as awesome as I am. POWER COUPLE/FAMILY!
