Story
Take one gently-aged, very good boy of the schnauzer, pug and spaniel variety. Throw in a couple of extra pounds, a mohawk and impossibly long eyelashes. Add equal parts long, short, curly, and wiry hair in various grays, with a dash of gold around massive eyes and a blocky snoot. Attach a thick corkscrew tail, and set the wag function on high. What you get is Muttville poster boy Chunky Monkey, an affectionate senior sweetie with all the right stuff. What do you give a dog who has everything? A forever home full of welcoming laps and a moratorium on second breakfasts. Here's some notes from his foster: Are you in need of something furry and cute that doesn't require much work? Do you love curly tails, floppy ears, and big eyes? Are you looking for someone who provides unconditional love and will roll over at so much as a glance? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, it's your duty to come meet Chunky Monkey! This dog has it all: a sweet, easy-going disposition; a love of napping all day long; a friendly, cheerful manner towards other people and pups; and most of all, a near-constant smile that shows off his cute underbite. Some of Chunky Monkey's other award-winning qualities: - Easy to walk, doesn't pull or jerk - Perfectly content being left alone for several hours - Only lets out a few happy barks from time to time (when excited about people or dogs, never in the home) - Tolerates bathing and brushing without trouble - Doesn't beg for food or eat off the ground - Loves being pet, scratched, and belly-rubbed endlessly! He is such a sweet, easy, friendly guy and will make the perfect companion for anyone looking to provide love and friendship!

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   The Coin puppies are cashing out their piggy banks for their forever homes! These puppies are 3 month old Schnauzer mixes, with the perfect blend of cuteness and goofy energy! There are two girls and two boys in this bunch. We estimate the puppies will reach between 15-20 pounds as adults. We will be looking for individual homes for each puppy as we do not place siblings together. Collect your lucky coin with one of these puppies today!     Penny: Penny promises to bring you endless luck in the form of cuddles and kisses! She has a big puppy personality packaged into a little body! She is the perfect cuddlebug who loves curling up on an available lap for a long snuggle session, but also has a fabulous playful side. She loves soft rope toys and bravely drags them around the playpen as her siblings try to pounce on her! Penny is incredibly smart and will be an amazing little bundle of joy to her forever family!  Nickel: Nickel is an absolute King of the Hill (even though that hill is small like him)! But don’t tell him that. This little spitfire is full of big energy and an even bigger personality. He is eager to play from sunrise to bedtime and would love a canine sibling in his forever home to romp around and explore the world with. Despite Nickel’s small size, he is totally fearless and loves being the center of attention. With a face as cute as his, he is impossible to resist cuddling!  Dime: Dime is the entertaining clown princess of her litter and shimmers brighter than the sun! She is highly intelligent with a big, goofy personality. Whether she is scampering around the yard pouncing on leaves, flopping dramatically onto a lap for cuddles, or dragging around toys twice her body size, this girl will keep you laughing all day every day! Dime loves to curl up on a warm lap after a day of hijinks, and will be an amazing bundle of kisses for her lucky forever home.  Quarter: Quarter is the dictionary definition of “Man’s Best Friend”. This loving, cuddly dude showers affection on his people through excited greetings, snuggles, and constant loyal companionship. However, Quarter also has a wonderful playful side and enjoys romping around with his siblings as they play their puppy games. Quarter is the most easy-going of his siblings and is super smart, picking up new commands with ease.     The puppies start their day with a quick potty break around 7 AM, before they zoom around and play. After breakfast, the puppies head to their cleaned out pen for the day. They alternate between playing, napping. chewing on toys, cuddling, and being adorable throughout the day. In the afternoon, the puppies get long cuddle sessions followed by games of tug and fetch. In the evening, after dinner, the puppies go outside for more play and potty time. As they settle down for the night, they each get some individual cuddle time on the couch as they watch TV.  They head to bed after one last kiss on the head and puppy pile together in their crates for bedtime.  The puppies have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes. They would be a great addition to a home with a dog or as a solo pup. They have met a friendly cat. They all adore people and can’t wait to find their happily ever after! The Coin puppies will be very fun to train and socialize with that fun Schnauzer energy!    The Coin puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.April 24, 2024, 10:21 am
