Story
Dakota is a 2 year old red heeler. She was a farm dog before we moved into town. She is incredibly smart and loyal. She is use to having a large yard. She has never run off on us and is easy to call back. I take her hiking/running with me on trails and sticks right by. She is use to being around chickens, cats, our other family dog and kids. She is not destructive at all and learns really quickly. She is an outside dog for us and occasionally goes in a kennel inside on cold nights. She is however very protective and will bark and herd other people she deems threatening. She can be aggressive towards other dogs on the trail. I typically will leash her when we come up to other people and dogs. She recently was taken to a park and nipped at a young kid trying to pet her. We have really enjoyed having her but with us moving back to a neighborhood she has not adjusted in the way we had hoped.
