DeeDee is my name, stealing hearts is my game! (& Hopefully, some snacks along the way, and a ride to my forever home.. but I'm getting ahead of myself, now, I think). And at around a year old, I may fill out, but I won't be getting much bigger! I have met other dogs and could be open to doggy friends, too! I am enjoying going for walks through the woods and putting my houndy nose to the test! Really, though, I want to sniff out the best snacks, and some extra attention from the humans who are kind enough to spend time with me! I can be a little shy at first, but this place is loud and hectic for a happy little hound, I'd much rather be in the comfort of a home with you! Dolly is a 2.5 year old spayed female coonhound mix who weighs 50 lbs. Dolly was rescued from a desperate situation. She was one of 30 dogs and puppies living in a small home. Their owners reached out for help due to medical issues, and the local rural shelter was unable to provide them any assistance other than euthanasia due to overcrowding. We are grateful help was sought and we were able to do our part to keep these dogs safe! If you remember the Bluey litter of heeler/hound puppies we had available for adoption last summer, Dolly is their mama! She is now ready to find a forever home of her very own. This beautiful girl is quite the catch! She is great with other dogs but does not rely on them. Whether she is an only dog, has a bunch of doggy siblings, or simple socializes regularly in her forever family, she'll be content. Dolly loves human interaction once she gets to know you. She can be a little shy at first but is quick to trust if given the chance. Dolly walks great on a leash, and she is house- and crate-trained. This girl has looks AND brains! She is super smart and treat motivated. Her ears are as soft as velvet - just like her personality! We absolutely adore this mama and cannot wait to find her the devoted forever family she so desperately deserves! Interested in adopting? Hello, my name is Benji! I have unfortunately been in and out of shelters over the years, and I really want to find my furever home. I am in my golden years and kennel life is certainly not for me. I am a big pup with an even bigger personality. As is typical of hounds, I am quite talkative and opinionated about everything! I can come on a bit strong with other dogs but may do well with a calmer, older one with proper introduction. I have not lived with cats before but I am willing to try.
