Story
My name is Winnie and I am a loving 7 year old, 50 pound girl that is a beautiful Hound breed called a Tree Walker.   I was found as a stray in the middle of a rural highway and I am such a soft and gentle girl that loves to lay around and sleep and just be an easy couch potato friend. I am housebroken, love a good tummy rub, pretty nice to all other dogs that I meet and I would be a great companion to a senior, retired person or couple who are looking for an easy dog to love.  I am healthy and spayed and microchipped and I am told that I am pretty, too.  Would you like to have a sweet companion for the next 7-8 years.  I will be happy to make your life so much more special if you invite me home.  Critter Cavalry Rescue is ready to help you adopt me if you write to them at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Please contact foster parent at catterwilliger@gmail.comFive-year-old Kash is a happy go-lucky tree walker coonhound mix. Kash is crate-trained, potty-trained and dog and cat friendly! He equally enjoys going for walks and chilling on the couch. While Kash is heartworm positive, he was treated for heartworms and received his last heartworm injection on February 29, 2024. Due to the injections he is currently on crate-rest until mid-April. Afterwards, he will be excited to resume walks and playtime with other furry friends. During his foster stay, he has lost a few pounds and is on his way to a healthy weight. If you are looking for a chill best friend who is up for some weekend adventures, Kash is your guy!

Story
Katharina is a is 4 -year-old Coonhound mix of something who currently weighs around 75 pounds. Katharina is fully vetted, crate trained and ready for her furever home. Katharina is not a typical Coonhound, as she prefers to be a stay-at-home dog, laying in or on your lap the whole day and then next to or on your bed with you! Katharina doesn’t enjoy leaving home, but she loves other dogs, in the home. She will make a great companion dog and due to this would prefer a home with a fenced in yard so she can be let out to do her business and roam a bit and come right back in! In her foster home Katharina has met many different types of dogs of all sizes and ages and she welcomes them in with no issues and shows them the rope! As for children, Katharina has done well with them, but we are noticing she would prefer older kids. If you are interested in adopting Katharina, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.*** March 26, 2024, 5:48 pm

Story
Meet Ruby! Ruby is almost a little over 1 year old, around 40 pounds Treeing Walking Coonhound mix, fully vaccinated and ready for her forever home. Ruby is what we call your normal TWC, meaning you need to be prepared for that nose leading her to counter surf, bark at you when you are not preparing her food quick enough, but also a little anxious.  TWC make great house dogs, but they come with natural anxiety that can be worked with. Ruby is timid with new experiences, so she will do well with a patient and confident family. Ruby loves treats, which is great, she will do anything for food – most hounds always feel like they are not fed enough…really, no joke! Due to some of her anxieties we are finding that Ruby will need another dog in the home to help her feel more confident and calmer.  Ruby LOVES children. If you are interested in adopting Ruby, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
Meet Milo, who comes to us from the Vance County Animal Shelter. Milo is a 1-year-old, 30 lb. burst of energy who was pulled on his last day. He is socialized and plays well with other dogs. He settled into his new foster home quickly and sleeps in his crate all night without any trouble. Milo corrects easily, walks great on a leash, is crate-trained and housetrained. He loves affection and enjoys sitting out on the back screened-in porch, just chilling. If you are interested in adding this perfect addition to your family, please reach out to us for an adoption application.
