Story

Maddie is a seven year old soft coated wheaten terrier. She is the mother of my dog. She lived in Utah on a farm, but her owner’s house was lost to a fire in June. They needed to rehome her as they could no longer let her be inside. I took her in January. Everything was going well as she is super sweet and very well trained. In the past month, she has become more and more possessive of me and now is getting in awful fights with my dog, her daughter. I have worked with a vet and dog trainer, but now the recommendation is to rehome her as I totally have to keep them separated. Like I mentioned, she is very sweet, very well trained and loves her crate. She has been around other dogs and had no problems. She grew up with a bunch of kids. I honestly feel that Maddie is becoming too attached to me as I live alone. Brigid is my dog and does not understand. Since it is two terriers fighting, they are very difficult to get apart and it is escalating. Maddie is a wonderful dog.
