Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Beautiful Bess, a stunning Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who is 2 years old and weighs 32 pounds. Bess had a tough start to life, spending her early years in a barn, used solely for breeding puppies to make a profit. Despite this, Bess is a loving dog who is in search of a forever home where she can be cherished and loved. Are you ready to welcome this charming girl into your life and give her the love and care she deserves? Bess has made a lot progress in her foster home, but she is still in the process of adjusting to her new life. This smart girl has been learning a lot, but it's important to keep in mind that she is still adapting to her new role as a pet. Bess is doing well with her house training, but please expect an adjustment period when she's in a new home. It may take some time and patience for her to adjust to a new routine and environment. She is still a bit nervous, so she requires a secure, fenced yard- no invisible fences. Bess would love to have another dog around to help her establish confidence and trust in people and she will learn from them too! If there are no other dogs in the home, it's important that her person/people be home a lot to spend time with her and keep her company. Although Bess is not a destructive dog, she may become anxious if left alone for extended periods. She is crate trained but still learning to walk on a leash. Bess is more comfortable being inside rather than outside, but she is making steady progress in learning to trust people. It's heartwarming to observe her giving gentle kisses to her foster mom! With love, kindness, and patience, Bess will continue to flourish and live the life she deserves. Bess is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested negative for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 9:03 am

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING….  AislingDOB:  10/23/20Breed: Soft Coated Wheaten TerrierSex: Female (Spayed)Weight:  33lbs Please make sure to read my entire bio if interested in me. My name is Aisling (Ash-LING). I am a scared but sweet girl that was rescued from mill life. I do not know what fun is, that people can actually be good to you, or that a life can be safe and happy. I prefer the company of dogs over people. I REQUIRE a home with a fenced yard, as well as a confident but respectful four-legged mate. I go outside to do my businesss but come right back in where I feel safer.  I am also pee pad trained. I am afraid of new people, it takes me a while to get used to people, even then, I do not truly trust them. As you can imagine, people were never good to me. I know I deserve to enjoy life, learning what being a dog is all about, however, it will take me time to know you are there to help and love me. I will need a quiet home that has a lot of patience, time, and love to give. ##1854503##

Story
This handsome little guy is Kevin. He is a 3yr old cockapoo. Kevin was unfortunately kept in a crate most of time while in his previous home. Because of this, Kevin can be timid, especially around men. He will need training. Kevin needs work with basic commands and housebreaking. Please don’t be swayed by his cute face. His new owner needs to have the time, energy and patience to commit to Kevin. He lived with other dogs but we are unsure how much interaction they had. He may do well with another well mannered dog his size. We are suggesting older children only. Kevin did come in with some skin issues which are getting better. Please be aware he will need regular grooming. If you are interested in giving this boy the life he deserves, please fill out our online application or stop in during open hours. Wednesday 6-8pm & Saturday 12-3pm. https://www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org/online-adoption-form
