Story
Cricket is a sweet old lady who is looking for a quiet retirement home. She was rescued almost ten years ago and thought to be about 13 now. She has grown up alongside two rambunctious boys and a few fur siblings. However, as she ages, the loud noises of her family, teens coming and going, her siblings, and the general hustle and bustle of life with an active family is becoming too much for her. She stresses very easily in her older age. She mostly ignores other dogs now that she is older because they scare her. She has been a well-loved part of our family for a decade but unfortunately we dont seem to be able to provide her the care she needs in her senior years. She would do well with a quiet home and someone who loves a snuggle buddy. Cricket loves nothing more than a warm lap and low movement. Crickett comes with kennel, food, MirLax, vet records, leash, and harness. Rehoming fee goes directly to a brand new case of food.

Story
This tiny precious Yorkie Poo, Sugar Baby, was surrendered by her owner for euthanasia after her owner was kicked out of their house. She was in horrible condition with long, stringy hair and was very dirty. Now that she’s cleaned up, we can see what a cutie she is. She’s about 8-10 years old and weighs 7.5 pounds. Every day Sugar Baby opens up more and makes herself at home. She gets along great with all the large and small dogs in her foster home. Sugar Baby is very smart. She learned to use the doggie door just by watching the other dogs. She runs to get in her crate at night for a nighttime treat and sleeps quietly all night. One of the cutest things she does is chase squirrels on our walks. She’s such a sweetheart and loves to lay in laps. Is Sugar Baby the dog for you? She will need regular grooming and she would prefer that her person is home more than not. Due to her age and small size, we don’t recommend Sugar Baby to families with children under 10. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
