Story
Alfredo is a high energy terrier mix. He's very friendly and loves to play. He has a kitty friend (Fettucini) and they really enjoy playing together and running around so it would be nice if they could find a home together. Alfie would be best in an experienced dog home to help him with a routine. You can check out Fettucini on our kitty page.

Story
Hello, wonderful people! My name is Reuben, and I'm on a mission to find my paw-fect forever home. At 13 years young Yorkie and weighing about 19 pounds, I may be small in size, but my heart is overflowing with love and affection. Despite my age and the cataracts, I'm still full of love and charm, ready to bring joy into the lives of those around me. You see, I haven't had the easiest journey. I was found as a stray, wandering the streets alone. But now, thanks to the kindness of some compassionate souls, I'm searching for a loving family to call my own. I get along famously with other dogs, making me the perfect companion for furry siblings. With your patience and understanding, I know I can thrive in a home filled with warmth and affection. So, if you're ready to open your heart to a sweet senior like me, fill out an adoption application today! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
*Name: Hope *Age: approx 8-9 years old *Current Weight: 9 lbs *Adoption fee: $300 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Hello there! We're Hallie and Hope, a delightful bonded pair of 8-year-old Yorkshire Terriers who have triumphed over adversity together. We were rescued from a challenging life in a puppy mill, and now we're eagerly awaiting the chance to bring joy and companionship to a loving forever home. Our journey hasn't been easy, but it's filled with resilience and sisterly love. We've spent our lives in a puppy mill, enduring conditions that no dog should ever face. Despite the challenges, we've emerged as two sweet souls who long for a caring family to call our own. I'm Hallie, the more outgoing and adventurous of the two. Despite the hardships we faced, I've retained my playful spirit and love for human interaction. I adore being pampered with gentle strokes and am always up for a good game of fetch. My bright eyes tell a tale of hope, and I'm ready to share my zest for life with a family who'll cherish me. And I'm Hope, the quieter, introspective sister. I may be a bit reserved at first, but my heart is full of warmth and trust waiting to be shared. My gentle nature makes me a wonderful lap companion, and I'm ready to shower you with unconditional love once I feel safe and secure. Together, we make a perfectly balanced pair. We're looking for a patient and understanding family that appreciates the unique bond we share. An environment with a calm and loving atmosphere would be ideal for us to flourish. Though we've had a difficult past, we believe in the power of love and second chances.Hallie and Hope, survivors of adversity, are ready to embark on a new chapter filled with love, warmth, and the simple joys of life. If you're ready to open your heart and home to two sweet souls who've conquered the odds together, please consider making us a part of your family.
