Story
Meet Ziggy!! This little guy was found by a shelter worker in a very rural part in the Tx Panhandle. She held onto him for almost a month trying to find his owner, which never happened. We knew we could find a good home for him here in Jersey so got we placed him with a foster until he arrived last Friday the 22nd. Ziggy is approx 2 yrs old, fully vetted (neutered/vacs/chipped). He is not a fan of the crate, but he doesn't really need it though. He is good with other dogs but bigger dogs tend to scare him a bit. He doesn't seem to care about the fosters cats either. He does love children however, a home without young children will be required. His only "quirk" is that he will bolt when doors are opened. This should not be a deal breaker. A trainer could easily assist with threshold training or a small barrier gate could be placed around the front door. He is very sweet and affectionate. If you would like to make this sweet boy a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process. https://furrytailendingscaninerescue.org/adoption-application/ **A PHYSICAL FENCED IN YARD IS STRONGLYPREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED** ** BREED MIX DNA PENDING** **PLEASE NOTE EMAILS FROM THE SITE EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Biscotti is a tripod puppy and is available for adoption. He is 11 weeks old and weighs 2 lbs. His adoption fee is $900.00. Biscotti is new to rescue and we are still learning more about him.  He is just a wee pup just 11 weeks old and weighs in at 2 pounds.  He mostly just eats and sleeps as young pups do.  Biscotti was born with a missing left hind leg but that doesn't stop him.  He does not know that he is supposed to have 4 legs.  He gets around just fine.  He is a good eater and sleeps soundly. He is playful, has discovered his voice and is vocal when he wants something.  He is working on his potty manners and doing very well.  He is completely adorable.  A great little puppy.   Biscotti will require a fenced yard and training classes when available for adoption.  It would be beneficial to be in a home with another young dog to learn from and play with.   Biscotti is staying with Kristin in Rensselaer, NY.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 10:28 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Tricia (temlet@gmail.com), 4348255134, 4348255134 for more information about this pet. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Harper is available for adoption. He is 1 year old and weighs 8 lbs. His adoption fee is $900.00. Harper, at one and a half years old, is all energy and playfulness.  He is neutered, house trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night. His original family gave him lots of love and care, but unexpected near-tragic events compelled them to turn to a series of temporary caretakers and then finally decide to surrender him to the rescue. So, Harper would dearly love to find a forever home where he can get the consistent loving care he deserves. Harper is an exuberant pup!  He loves chasing toys, bringing them back, refusing to give them up, and running off all over again. He loves running after and tussling with his foster brother.  He loves car rides (and is learning not to bark at the dogs he sees on the sidewalk). He knows basic commands like “sit” and “look.”  Initially, when on walks Harper was hyper-reactive, barking loudly and at dogs and people. We are working with him to alter this instinctual fear, and Harper is making a little progress with this every day.  Because Harper is under three, the Rescue requires that he be adopted to a home with a fenced yard. Harper is staying with Tricia in Charlottsville, VA. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 10:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Allyson (gardeners4@verizon.net), (631) 398-1443 for more information about this pet. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Miki is available for adoption. He is 8 years old and weighs 7 lbs. His adoption fee is $750.00. It's been a month now with our charming foster pup Miki! This adorable ball of fur has seamlessly become a beloved member of our household, radiating a mellow and playful energy that's impossible to resist. With his sweet and affectionate nature, our Miki has managed to steal the hearts of everyone he meets. His cute gremlin-like ears only add to his irresistible charm, making him a standout in the cuteness department. Miki is the ultimate snuggle bug, with a penchant for warmth and closeness. His favorite pastime remains unchanged – there's nothing he loves more than following his human around until they settle down, just so he can curl up in their lap. His gentle demeanor and loving nature make every snuggle session a precious moment to cherish. A home where somebody is home most of the day will be important for him. We recently received an A+ report card from the groomer. This little guy was a perfect gentleman during his grooming session, showcasing his friendly and cooperative demeanor. While his mellow and playful personality continues to shine, his potty-training continues to be a slow and steady process. In the meantime, Miki has embraced the stylish addition of a belly band to his wardrobe! He's a pretty quiet pup, with barks few and far between. However, when he does decide to vocalize, it's typically in response to his foster brothers' barks. It seems like he's quite the attentive listener, chiming in only when he feels it's absolutely necessary. When it comes to walks, Miki has made it clear that he's not the biggest fan, especially when the weather takes a turn for the worse. The cold and rain don't quite align with his idea of a perfect outing. However, when the sun is shining and the temperature is just right, he's more than happy to accompany his human on leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. While he may not be thrilled about venturing out in less-than-ideal weather, his reluctance doesn't overshadow his sweet disposition indoors. Miki is great in the car, and is happy to accompany us on errands around town. He eats well, LOVES treats, and sleeps well too! This absolute joy is ready to add a lot of love, affection, and companionship to your home!  What are you waiting for?  Miki is staying with Allyson in Nutley, NJ.   How do you pronounce that name?  Germans, where the breed was developed in the 1980’s, say “Bivah”. The emcee at Westminster pronounced it “Beaver.”  However you want to pronounce it,  the Biewer Terrier is a lovely, elegant, and playful little dog, a direct descendant of the Yorkshire Terrier. The beautiful Biewer’s only purpose is to love and be loved. Biewers share many of the same characteristics as Yorkies, including their long, silky coat, loving disposition, and intelligent personality as well as their health issues. Biewers are still rare beautiful jewels and very expensive because there are so few of them in the US and it has only recently been recognized by the AKC in 2021.  Many more are being imported from Russia and Ukraine. The Biewer’s claim to fame is their very sweet temperament that make them great companions for families. They are lighthearted, and have been described as having a childlike attitude because of their habit of carrying toys in their mouths. If you are looking for a small, friendly, and intelligent dog, the Biewer may be the perfect breed for you. Do understand that their long coats need to be brushed daily as well as their teeth. Their coat can be kept in a shorter style, a ‘puppy cut’ to make it easier to maintain. They are athletic and love going for walks or even playing games inside will keep them in shape.   There is much more information on the Biewer’s care on the Biewer Terrier Club of America’s webpage.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 10:28 pm
