Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Mr. Bootsy is a great little companion dog that was found wondering the streets of San Antonio, Tx and he had been hit by a car, he was limping along.  After taking him to the vet, it was discovered that the car injury was an old break and could not be repaired.  I made the choice not to amputate the dangling leg because it does not get in his way or cause any problems or require any special care on a daily basis. Booty was microchipped and I spoke with the original owner who gave him to someone else who just did not want any dogs and set him free on the streets, pitiful but San Antonio resident pet owners are known for that.  Bootsy would love to have a forever loving home where he can get love and he has plenty of love to give back. He gets along with all of the foster dogs in my home and plays well with everyone.  He is completely potty/house and crate trained.  Bootsy is just a good boy.  He is 6 years old and weighs 10 pounds and has reached his adult weight and will not grow anymore.  He walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick. If you are in San Antonio, TX or surrounding areas you are welcome to meet him anytime.  We market our pets across the United States and transport them to most areas every 2 weeks once adopted. If you are interested in adopting Bootsy please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 20, 2024, 8:55 am

Story
And I will be Collin you to see…if you’re sleeping, are you dreaming? If you’re dreaming, are you dreaming of me? Yup, that’s right. It might be cheesy, but I had to throw a little “dad rock” in there. My name is Collin, and in human years, I’m 49 years old!!! You’d think a middle-aged guy like me would be settled into a forever home by now, but I’ve recently fallen on some hard times. SNIPSA took me in from Animal Care Services where I was being held after being saved from the streets. You also may notice I’m missing quite a bit of hair, as I was suffering from demodex mange when I was found! I’ve since been treated for my skin condition and I’m just waiting on my hair to grow back. You’ll want to put on those rose-colored glasses because I’ll be looking like my best self again in no time! Weighing in at a whopping 6.84 pounds, I’ve maxed out my size, but not my capacity to love. I am a meek and mild little guy who is happiest when I’m on a lap. I’m also thought to be some sort of Yorkshire Terrier mix, which is the most popular toy dog breed in the United States! My breed is typically very social, playful and energetic. For now, I make a quiet companion, but a more upbeat personality may emerge now that I’ve found some stability. So, will you pick me? Apply today and give me the fresh start I’ve been waiting for!

Story
We are located in Southern California but we adopt all over the map no matter what state you are in and will happily drive/fly to you if you are unable to come to us as long as transport is covered. If we secure enough adopters in route to San Antonio then we will divide the transport between all adopters to help alleviate the total cost. Meet Niko! He is a purebred yorkie. He is 4 years of age. He weighs right around the 7 lb mark, and yes he is fully grown and at a very healthy weight. He is neutered, micorchipped, current on all vaccines, and has been cleared by our vet to find a home all his own. He is house trained, and has been introduced to pads if needed in his next home. He will go outside to use the restroom about 3 times a day. He is crate trained, and has no issue going into a crate if his new adopting family wishes to have him sleep there. He however, LOVES being in bed with his humans, so if you are looking for a snuggle buddy at bedtime, he will happily oblige. He is your true definition of a lap dog, and loves to be near his human as often as he can. We would love to find him a home where his new humans are either retired, or work from home, so that he can remain his happiest little self every day moving forward as he is HAPPIEST when they are around. He is a great traveling partner, so if you take any type of road trips, long or short, he sits in his booster seat and is always ready for wherever the road takes him even if just to run errands around town. He is good with all the dogs we have here, big or small; but doesn't need to have dog friends in his new home as long as he has his person. He is also very good with cats, so that won't be an issue if you have any cat friends at home. He is a very sweet, loving, beautiful little boy patiently waiting for a family to call his own again so if that's you reach out to us and tell us all about yourself, the home you would be providing, and your breed experience andd from there we will be in contact! Adoption fee Along with its breakdown is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org under his listing.
