Story
Pepper has vision. He would prefer to be the only dog. Loves people and cuddling, velcro and will follow you everywhere. Meet Pepper! Pepper was surrendered to a shelter at 13 years old. His history prior to that is unknown. He was saved from the shelter by a local organization who also started his vetting, and he came to us about two weeks later. In spite of all this, Pepper is quite a character! He has a lot of personality, definitely knows what he wants and doesn't want, and will let you know. And what he wants is this ... Pepper feels he has one very important job, and more than anything, he wants to do his job well. That job is to be. with. you. No matter where you are, day or night, Pepper wants to be with you, and he will love you with everything he has in his little 8 pound body. If he is not with you, he will not hesitate to let you know how upset he is. He's a great cuddler and would spend the entire day cuddling in my lap if he could. He would love to keep you warm on those cool fall and winter days! Shortly after arriving at his foster home, Pepper had an urgent dental (20 teeth were extracted, he has six bottom teeth remaining and will need to eat soft food for the rest of his life), was neutered, saw the ophthalmologist (he has nuclear sclerosis in both eyes and a healed corneal ulcer in his right eye), and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), for which he takes Levothyroxine twice a day. He will need to have regular blood work to monitor his thyroid. Two lumps removed from his forehead were apocrine gland cysts and completely benign. He is nicely managed on pain medication and a joint supplement for arthritis and bilateral luxating patellas, and even runs everywhere! He's also attempted, with some success, to climb over baby gates. Pepper goes through phases where he drinks and urinates quite a bit more than usual, but testing so far has not shown a cause. Housebreaking continues to be a slow work in progress and he is unable to go through the night without urinating. Pepper is fine with the other three dogs in his foster home, but is jealous and upset if he is not getting all of the attention. The other three dogs here are timid and small like he is, and if one is where Pepper wants to be, he will just lay down on top of that dog. Pepper would prefer a home where someone is home most of the time and where he could be your only dog, or with only one other quiet small dog. Due to his size, a home without young children is recommended, and he will also require an understanding owner who is able to carefully monitor any changes in his appetite, behavior, or pottying. Pepper reminds me of a used car. He's a bit banged up, scratched, and is missing paint in some areas, but with lots of love and good maintenance, he'll keep going and going and going! :) BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
I'm Korey! If you think my picture is cute you should meet me in person. I'm really little, 8lbs, but I make up for it with big spunk and sass once you get to know me. I'm about 3yrs old and am a Yorkie mix. I can be shy when we first meet but give me a day or two and we're best friends. I love hanging out with the two big dogs at my house, they even let me snuggle with them on the couch. I'm almost potty trained and love going outside for walks. I love stuffed animals and hard chew toys, I like to sit in my foster dad's lap, and after a long day I sleep in my crate all night. Foster mom thinks it's hilarious when i get the zoomies and run around like a maniac. Probably older kids would be best because I can be shy and am fragile. Ask to meet me! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!! Zindel is about 9wks old and 3.5lbs. He is a calm, affectionate and playful pup. We're told he's a yorkie/poodle mix. He is microchipped, dewormed and utd on age-appropriate vaccines. Please, no really small kids or large breed dogs because of his small size.DATCP#483538

Story
Adorable, bonded pair of Yorkie males! Meet Sparky and Elfie, a delightful pair of Yorkie males on a journey to experience the joy of a “normal” dog life after being rescued from a puppy mill. In the cozy embrace of Wisconsin, they’re ready to share love and companionship. These inseparable buddies not only do well with other animals, but also bring a unique charm – Sparky has no teeth and Elfie only a couple, but they delightfully enjoy kibble and have a preference of soft food. Their potty training is a work in progress, they’ve got adorable quirks like Sparky’s vocal “num num” sounds during meals. These inseparable buddies enjoy napping on warm blankets, cuddling, and the occasional tail-wiggling tap dance, and booty bumps to express their happiness. Adopt this bonded duo, and you’ll be gaining two furry friends who are learning to embrace the joys of being a dog. Tiny Paws Name: Sparky & Elfie AKA: Ralph or Ralphie. Story
Welcome Titan to Tiny Paws. Titan found himself in IL Shelter when Family could no longer care for him. Information from Shelter: Titan, 5 y/o neutered male, 8 lbs. Surrendered 3/30 due to "can't care for any longer". Recently had a dental cleaning & extraction. He is fully vetted and neutered. Microchipped. Titan is a bit shy, fearful, but friendly and is looking for a loving home. Walks great with a leash when he gets a little head of you, he turns to see if you’re still there. He gets along with other dogs plays with them. He does go outside to do his jobs. If left alone for many hours, he will have accidents. He is scared of small children and quick movements. He is crate trained. Said to be anxious (pacing, whining/crying and some barking) since I’ve had him here he hasn’t been doing much of that. A familiar person petting and talking to him calms him. He is being fostered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Please contact Foster mom Debi. At: Debi.pieske@gmail.com or 424/641-1148 for more information. Adoption fee of $450 required. https://www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org/

Story
Katie is almost 7 years old, having spent her first 6 years in a puppy mill. She will require a human with patience and gentleness as sudden noises put her on alert. A home far away from fireworks would be best. She is fostered in a home with both dogs and cats & gets along with all.Earning her trust is not an immediate event, but once you do, she will want to be by your side nearly all the time. Her favorite place to eat is next to her human. As well as sleeping in the same bed."Outside" is becoming more familiar and knows doing her business outside makes her human happy. She also uses the pads inside and her groomer describes her as "a very good girl".Even though she hasn't really figured out "toys" yet, she is very treat motivated. She is being fostered in Hammond IndianaApply to adopt at nbstr.org
