Thoroughly read through the OUR PROCESS tab4. then fill out an online application from your laptop or desktop computer or click on the mobile friendly link on the application page.**All adopters are required to sign up for and complete the age appropriate Method K9 online training course.__________________________________________________________________________________COOKIE is a 1 year old female Akita like mix.Cookie is extremely sweet and affectionate.She gets along great with other dogs and puppies and does well with humans of all sizes (although she is still very young and jumpy so you need to watch her around small children as she will knock them over). She is very human and dog social and would like to have adopters that already have a social and neutral dog in the home.  She loves going on walks, chewing on stuffed animals, and cuddling up on a super cozy blanket and taking long naps.Cookie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.If you are interested in Cookie:** You MUST be active and live an active lifestyle.**You MUST be committed to crate training and setting clear boundaries and expectations to ensure her mental & physical needs are met daily and she grows up to be a well balanced adult.**You MUST enroll in and complete the @methodk9 Basic Foundation program (we are able to offer a 50% discount for our approved adopters)  ##1717725##

Name: Meru Age: 2.5 years old, Female Weight: 70 LBS Breed: Husky/Shepard Mix   Good w/ Kids: Yes - She has been around a 3 to 5 year old who has grabbed her, fallen on her and played with her without any incidents. She is very patient with him. She does grab/bite his arm playfully, but does not hurt him.  Good w/ Dogs: Yes - She has been to doggie daycare numerous times without any issues and loves to play with dogs off leash. If she is introduced to a dog on leash she can be protective of me. She does tend to bully the smaller dog she currently lives with but only playfully and has never hurt him. (Just his feelings) Good w/ Cats: No - Have tried to introduce her in the past to a cat and she obsessively tried to attack it. Potty Trained: Yes - She will go easily when taken on walks and if she's inside she will bark at the door when she has to go. Crate Trained: Yes - She was crate trained up until 1 1/2 years old but hasn't been in one for the last year as she's done pretty well being outside of one for up to 4 hours at a time, as long as she is properly exercised. She sleeps on a dog bed inside currently. Also comes with a crate. Training - She went through private training for a couple months and knows basic commands. She walks okay on a leash, and made improvements due to the training, but could use a little more work in this area. She is very alert of her surroundings and other dogs she sees while walking. Activity Level: I typically take her on one 30 minute walk midday. This keeps her somewhat stimulated but only for another few hours and then she shows signs of boredom. She loves going on hikes and as long as she is hydrated and there is shade she can do a few miles. She has been off leash on camping trips and hikes. If you are out in the middle of nowhere she has good recall, however when distracted or closer to civilization she enjoys a short roam.  Spayed: Yes Microchip: YesVaccines:  DA2PP EXP 12/13/24 BORDETELLA EXP 12/13/24 RABIES EXP 12/2025 ##2002245##
