We rescued him from certain death when he found himself at a southern kill shelter, infected with a deadly heartworm infection, intestinal parasites, skin infection, ear infection, thin and unvaccinated, and dumped at a shelter. His spirit was broken. Then to make matters worse, he contracted PARVO at the shelter!! We couldn't let him die that way! So we rushed him to our vet and got to work looking for foster. Today Hershal has a clean bill of health, he's looking and feeling great. And he loves how it feels to be safe and loved and part of the family at his foster home! Hershal is approx 7 or 8 years old. The vet believes that Chance is between 18mo - 2yrs old and weighs 59lbs. • He is heart worm negative and neutered. •He is super sweet and gentle - wants to cuddle and be near his person. •He is dog-friendly (the foster doesn’t have cats, so we are not certain if he’s cat-friendly) •He is people-friendly to everyone he has met. Foster does not have small children, but he has been fine around children on walks. Due to his size and youth, he might knock down small children, but he is not aggressive. •He is house broken. Even in the rain and snow he has let us know he needs to go out. •He is a little timid to new people at first, but warms up quickly. •He very rarely barks. •He has learned to sit, walk on a leash, and “wait” for his food bowl to be put down. •He is very food motivated, so can be easily trained with treat rewards. Danica is a gorgeous Husky/Aussie mix girl with the wonderful blue eyes and riveting beauty that touches everyone’s soul when they meet her.  She landed in a small town Kentucky shelter that has a euthanization rate and we feared for her life.  Found at a Pizza place on a busy highway her owner was contacted and he opted not to come pick her up so off to the shelter she went.  She was fortunately pulled from the shelter and now has the most wonderful opportunity to gain the perfect  home and family that Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised to find.
