Story

Archie has been with SafeHart for too long. He was a favorite at Dallas Animal Services and that is why when his time came up to be put down, the volunteers searched high and low for a rescue to tag and save him. We really thought that he would be adopted pretty quickly but that has not proven to be the case. And we are scratching our heads and wondering why. He LOVES People and is a happy-go-lucky personable boy as long as you are handing out belly rubs. When spending time with you, he will shower you with kisses and he will reduce your stress 10x fold as he always wants you to play ball or hang out with him. He can be both a couch potato and or a hiking partner. The Ranch Team knows that if you win his heart, you will receive a lifetime of his love. The downside, he needs to be any only child so that he gets all of your attention. He has awesome potential and we know in our hearts that he will make a family very happy. How has this handsome boy not had anyone interested in making him apart of their family?! Tank is estimated to be around 6-7 years young. He loves to be around all people, especially if they will give him all the belly rubs and back scratches they can! Tank is very easy going. He loves to please everyone and show off all his tricks, like sit, shake hands, lay down and roll over! Tank is a bigger male weighing around 110-115. He is heartworm negative and on prevention. He takes his prevention very easy with the help of his favorite treat canned spray cheese. Now Tank does need to be an only child as he does not like to play with other dogs or cats. He would do best with a family with older children and no other animals. Story

Roscoe is a sweet guy, he is one of the favorites here at the ranch. He loves everyone that he meets. He plays well with other female dogs. He loves to chase after sticks and tennis balls in the yard. One of his favorite toys is a snuffle mat where he can search for all of his treats that are hidden in there. Roscoe does enjoy going out for walks and seeing new places but will also cuddle up with you on the couch to watch your favorite show. He does very well with grooming and trimming his nails. He loves when he gets brushed but will try to play with the hair that comes off of him. Roscoe walks well on a leash and is currently learning all the basic commands.

Alice is an old soul. She is very calm and gentle soul. Alice would be a girl who would do best in a calm environment. Although she will go on walks with you and play outside some, she would still prefer to just be relaxing with you. She loves to have her stuffed animals to hold and cuddle with and appreciates a good bone to chew on as well. Alice is very loyal and will do anything to please you. Hey there, my name is Trinity. I am a 2-year-old spayed female. I roughly weigh around 80 pounds. I have had a pretty rough time in life. I was found in a snowbank with my puppies. No one really knows how long I was out there having to defend and fed my puppies. Since being brought to the rescue, I have been very grateful for everyone making me feel safe and loved. Since all of my puppies have been placed in their forever homes, I figured it was time for me to start looking for my forever home. A little bit about me, is that i love to be brushed and groom and I will always give you the biggest kiss to say thank you for brushing me. I love to meet new people and kids. Although I love people very much, I do not like other animals as I am possessive over my belongings (food, water, toys, blankets, etc.) Even though I do not allow any other animal to touch my items, I don't mind when the volunteers touch my items, o. r want to play with them. I am very gentle with everyone, especially the small human here at the ranch, she loves to give me hugs and kisses.

Felicia is an amazing girl. She is one of the first ones up to greet you in the morning. She loves to have all the attention on her. She is laid back and calm. She does very well with another male dog as long as proper introduction is done. She loves to show off all of her commands as long as she gets her favorite charlee bark treats.

Geo is an acivte young adult. She is learning basic obedience ques and would do best in a multi-dog home or with an active person. She is crate trained and house trained. She is very dog friendly. Saiph is a spayed female husky mix that weighs approximately 55 lbs. She is shy at first meeting new people, but will warm up after a short time. She requires slow dog to dog introductions. She is likely not safe around cats.  She is very sweet once she opens up and is rather quiet on the day to day. She will bark and become vocal if another dog encouches on her space, but we work with her every day on this.  Saiph was found as a stray and had very obviously recently weaned a litter. She was heartworm positive and has completed treatment with us. Story

Gemma is an AKC registered Siberian Husky that was found as a stray after she went missing due to fireworks on the 4th of July. She was finally captured in November after having a litter of puppies under a shed. Sweet Gemma does have some fears she needs to overcome. She is skittish and jumpy when meeting new people and she would do best with a confident companion that she could learn the world from. Naturally, she adores puppies and does great with them.  We do not recommend Gemma to a home with children at this time as they appear to frighten her causing her to hide. We do not know if she is cat friendly and her cat tests have been questionable on true results. Gemma will need to always be walked with a martingale collar and a secure harness due to her filght risk. She will need proper managment during noisy holidays which we can disucss in an adoption consultation.  Gemma has completed her heartworm treatment and needs to continue the cardiac recovery process over the next several weeks to a few months, but she will eventually be able to do all the activites she wants to do.  If you are interested in adding Gemma to your family, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt ##1260482##
