Story
Description Sushi is a young female Akita with a sweet disposition. She listens well and is well behaved. She is happy to walk or play with you but settles quickly and is very patient. Personality Sushi is a joy. She is low maintenance, even-keeled, friendly, well- socialized and happy go lucky. Sushi knows some basic commands and is happy to show off her good manners. She does well on walks, and is friendly with people, or nonchalant and indifferent. She is polite and will sit and wait for feeding time, or for walking time, and goes into a kennel at night to sleep. She is well behaved at the vet and has been vaccinated, dewormed, chipped, and is heart worm negative. Sushi also does really well with her finder/ foster home’s young kids and cats. Background Sushi was found in Cypress, near hwy 6 and I10 in Houston in Dec 2023. She walked right up to her finders when they were out in their driveway as if to ask for help. She followed them willingly to the backyard and drank for a while, then hopped into their car for a ride to the vet to see if she was chipped. She was not microchipped and had no tags. The finders searched for an owner and listed her on lost/found sites and neighborhood pages but no one claimed her. Other rescue organizations told them to make an appt with the city shelter, but they wanted to make sure she went to a good home and wasn’t at risk of euthanization, so they contacted GNAR. Story
Ika is very very loving and has much playful energy. She loves to run and be active for some periods of the day. She loves laying on her back and getting belly rubs, that's her sweet spot! Most of the day she can be calm and on her own, playing with her toys or sleeping (she knows how to stay busy on her own). Gets super excited when she´s given attention or going out for a walk. She barks very little. She´s only peed in the house a couple of times but other than that she very much prefers and knows to do it only outside. Outdoors she can be in all environments, in the water, loves hikes, and running with other dogs (she still needs to learn how to behave a little better when on a leash and to learn to calm down when she´s overexcited with other dogs, like most puppies). She truly is a great dog and deserves a loving family. Ika is being fostered in Ajijic, Mexico, and can be adopted locally or to the United States or Canada. ##1807174##

Story
She was a stray that my boyfriend at the time had brought home. She immediately got along extremely well with my at the time 6 year old. She has a very goofy personality and is extremely loveable. Loves to be pet and loved on. She loves to play and she definitely doesn’t realize how big she is. She just wants the attention. She has been around multiple kids ranging from 5-14 at the same time and never had any aggression issues. She is such a sweet girl.

Story
Hello there! I'm Cash, your potential new best friend. You know, life here at the shelter is alright, but I can't help but dream about the fun we could have together. I've got energy to spare and a zest for life that is contagious. We could play fetch, go on long walks, or even just spend time together. I'm always up for an adventure, and I promise to make every day exciting. I may be an adult, but my spirit is forever young. So, why should you adopt me? Well, I believe that every home needs a little bit of Cash to make it truly rich. Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/form/other/FOSH/2790-adoption-application. Questions?
