Story
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided below.Adrian is a 3-year old American Bulldog. She is spayed and fully up to date on her shots and health checks. She also has papers to be registered. Adrian is very sweet and very protective with humans. She has gotten along well with other bullies. However, she has shown aggression with other dogs outside of her own breed. When the incidents happened, it was around food or close spaces. She would be perfect in a home with a couple or someone that travels. She loves to be on the go. She is crate trained. If you are interested in Adrian, please contact Leah Haney at 704-214-0076.

Story
Woof! Hi there, humans! My name's Pepper, and I've got quite the story to tell. I'm an American Bulldog mix, about a year and a half old, and I tip the scales at a solid 65 pounds. Let me tell you a little bit about where I come from. I ended up in this shelter after a rough time out there on the streets. See, I was dumped on the SC/NC border, left to wander all day long, waiting for my humans to come back for me. But they never did. Animal Control eventually found me, and I'll never forget that ride to the shelter - all I did was cry and mourn, afraid of being abandoned again. When I first arrived here, I was scared and wary of people. But thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers, I've really come out of my shell. They showed me that they're here to help, and I can't thank them enough for that. Now, you'll see me giddy, happy, and full of life, especially when it's time to play! I absolutely love chasing balls around the yard - it's my favorite thing in the world! I'm what you might call people-oriented and a real people-pleaser. I'm super smart too - I've been learning commands left and right, and I pick 'em up pretty darn quick if I do say so myself. I am also super duper housetrained. I never made a mess ever in my kennel! And let me tell you, once I give you my loyalty, it's yours forever. I'm just waiting for someone to see what a special girl I am. Before you come to meet me at the shelter, be sure to submit your adoption application online first. This helps the shelter team ensure that we're the perfect match for each other and that my future family is fully prepared to welcome me into their home. Oh, and one more thing - all of us shelter animals come home spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. So you can rest easy knowing that I'm ready to join your pack, fully equipped and ready to make memories that'll last a lifetime. So, if you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to join your family, look no further than yours truly, Pepper. I can't wait to meet you and show you just how amazing life can be with a pup like me by your side! Woof woof! You can fill out an adoption application for me using this link: https://foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 9/19/2023 Reason for being in rescue: stray Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Ezra is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 48 lbs Height: 20 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Handsome Ezra is seeking a home with a family that knows and loves his breed. He is affectionate, strong, and eager to play. Ezra can be a bit of a happy humper - he just loves a lot. He is good with small dogs and with cats. As with any dog, proper introductions are key. Ezra would make an amazing hiking partner.  What is my personality like? Ezra is a 4 year old bulldog mix who is seeking a home to love him unconditionally and wholeheartedly. Found as a stray by one of our team members, Ezra has charmed every person he's interacted with since arriving at Dreamweaver Farms. This boy is pure joy! Ezra loves meeting new people and wants to be everybody’s friend. He is extremely sweet, loves cuddles, and loves adventuring outdoors. This boy has the goofiest personality that keeps his caregivers smiling and laughing all day. Ezra is still learning proper leash skills and proper crate training etiquette, but he is making great progress. He is very curious about each and everything and wants to be in the middle of everything. He enjoys being the center of attention at all times when he isn’t wandering around, and loves napping on cozy beds near his humans. He would love a home where he can run all day long and do what he pleases, as he pleases.  How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Ezra was found as a stray so we have absolutely no history on him. Based on his overall health and condition, Ezra is estimated at 4 years young. We celebrate his birthday 9/19/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. April 24, 2024, 9:02 pm

Story
I have an American bully. His name is Duke and he’s 2 years old. He’s a great dog. Friendly with everyone. Doesn’t bite other than a little bit of play biting when he gets excited. I’m looking for a good home for him. I have a job that requires me to be away from him for about 14 hours a day. Unfortunately I can’t give him the attention that he needs.

Story
PB for Pretty Boy. He was a stray. He was found to be shot with a BB gun, abused and scared of sharp noises and quick movements. He is extremely skittish and will run when frightened. He will need a secure fenced yard! As being retired we have gotten to know him well. He is house broken. He is not a barker. He won't bark outside even when he hears other dogs. We had him nurtured so it wouldn't be a stressful with going to a new home. He would do best in a calm home. He has no training for commands nor vocabulary He has never shown any aggression. I can put my hand in his food bowl. He would do well in a calm home. A military veteran could take advantage of free obedience training. He gets along with dogs, cats and people if they behave. He has never growled or shown his teeth. He is looking for love, trust and a fun environment. His potty breaks are approximately 12 hours apart. He is satisfied during the day inside with a bone to keep him amused. No regrets with this sweet dog!
