We are accepting applications for our sweet girl, Lorelai. She was a pull from Memphis Animal Services, on September 21, 2022. When she came to us she weighed 26lbs & was heartworm positive, She is with a foster who was getting her through her first few critical months, but still has her. She is more than ready for her furever love!! She is completely house trained, and is a very well behaved house guest. She loves all people, though she is more comfortable with her doggie friends who are more on the chill side. She has gone through her heartworm treatment, over 6 months ago. She is extremely sweet, despite all of the horrors that she endured before coming into our rescue.

Hello, my name is Clooney! Clooney is a courtesy posting for a kind & loving family who sadly find themselves in a position of needing to lovingly rehome this gorgeous, sweet dog. Clooney wrote up a description of himself and he would like you to read it: "I am a mixed Brindle Pitbull breed and am about 3.5 years old. I am a big cuddle bug and sometimes don't even know my own size as I always sit with my owner on her recliner. Although we both don't fit very well, I love to snuggle . I have really big paws and I love to play with the hose in the summer. Its my favorite activity! I am so excited to see all the guests that come to my house to visit. Although I may need some work on jumping as I get so excited. I do really well with other dogs although I've never met any kitties. I think I may be just a tad rough with my house play that I may be best to be in a house with no children or adults only as I don't know my own strength. One of my other favorite past times is to lay in front of the fireplace on cold nights. I'm looking for my forever home and a family that I can continue to love unconditionally. Kane is a very shy and sweet boy. He will need an adopter that is familiar with the breed and knows how to help him gain confidence. He is not a candidate for an adopter that hasn't had dogs in the past or any adopters with small children. He is crate and house trained for the most part. He does get nervous when you leave and sometimes has accidents in his crate. He is dog selective and would do best in a home with no other dogs. Kane is very smart and rings a bell on the door when he has to go outside to potty! He loves to nap on your lap and would make a great work from home buddy. He was abused when he was a little puppy and has an unusual bark. ***BLAKE IS A COURTESY POST - HE IS NOT IN OUR CARE***   Blake is 3 yrs old and 65 lbs, neutered and up to date on vaccines.Blake is an owner surrender. His family had called a local vets to have him put to sleep for an incident with the cat he had lived with (we don't have any details of the situation). They reached out to someone for help and they ended up taking him so he wouldn’t be euthanized. He is currently at a local boarding facility but needs a forever home. He is housebroken. He is dog friendly (but we haven’t introduced him to dogs under 30 pounds). Poor Lonnie! Lonnie and his brother were dropped off at a boarding facility in the fall of 2022. Sadly, their owner never came back for them. His brother has since been adopted, but Lonnie is still looking for his forever home. Lonnie is a 5 year old pit bull who is a happy, energetic guy who weighs around 65 pounds. He likes everyone he has met. He is a gentleman in the tub , and enjoys going for walks.  He is good with other dogs, but we have not seen him around cats. Leeloo is an almost two year old, female, pup who will make a great family dog one day. Hailing from City Dogs, we think she's a mix of American Pit Bull Terrier and German Short-haired Pointer. A sweet pup, her absolute favorite thing to do is cuddle with her humans, second favorite is chewing on her Benebone. As a young dog, she's got that youthful energy she needs to burn off everyday so she would do best in a home that can give that to her. She lives well with other dogs but is still learning how to give them their space. She took on the dominant role when living with our other more senior dog. She would also do great as an only dog. She also does well with children but would be best to keep her with older children as she doesn't quite understand her size at times. No cats for this doggo. Behaviorally, she is eager to please and takes well to learning new things. We are working with her on basic manners and leash walking. We are dedicated to finding the right home for Leeloo

With a toy, a yard, or even a baby pool, Norris is the happiest boy when he is enjoying swimming and playtime. His play style might involve a bit of vocalization, but it's all in the spirit of fun. As far as Norris is concerned…there is never enough toys! After his energetic bursts, Norris finds joy in stretching out and lounging. He adores nestling his nose under your arm for head rubs and sitting snugly between your legs. At around 2 years old, he's a leash-walking pro, making him a great companion for an active lifestyle. He will need an active household. While he's tolerant with other dogs, we believe he'd thrive best as the sole pet in the household. We do think he would thrive with someone who has a bit of experience with owning dogs. He would thrive with someone who knows how to lead him to be the best boy.
