Story
1.5 years old (estimated) 57 lbs. Neutered male Gentle, loving, well-mannered Gets along well with other dogs Looking for a home with kids over 6 years With my sweet and sensitive nature, I've won the hearts of everyone I've met, both human and canine alike. I'm longing for a big, loving family to call my own, where I can shower them with endless love and affection. However, I am a little timid around the noise and activity of young kids, so I'd do best in a home with children over 6 years old. I've already mastered some tricks like "sit" and "paw," and I'm potty trained and walk great on a leash, so you can count on me to be a good boy wherever we go. I'm a big fan of toys, but nothing compares to my beloved blue dino—I carry it with me everywhere as my trusty sidekick! And let's not forget about cuddle time—I'm a total cuddle bug who adores giving and receiving kisses. Just ask the staff—they'll tell you I'm the "best dog ever" and "the sweetest boy you'll ever meet." So, if you're ready to hit the jackpot with a furry companion who will fill your days with joy and love, then look no further, because I'm your guy! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.April 22, 2024, 10:25 pm

Story
2 years old (estimated) 39 lbs. Spayed female Outgoing, energetic, and playful Loves other dogs When I first showed up as a stray at an overcrowded Louisiana shelter I was extremely emaciated, weighing only 19 lbs.! Thanks to the amazing people who nursed me back to health, I'm now at a healthy weight and bursting with energy. I've made plenty of doggy pals during my time in foster care and at the shelter—I'm just a social butterfly who loves making new friends, both human and canine! I've got loads of energy and adore running and playing with toys, especially stuffed ones. You'll often find me proudly carrying my "babies" around, ready for our next adventure together! Plus, I'm a quick learner and super food motivated, so teaching me new skills and tricks will be a breeze. I've already mastered "sit" and I'm fully potty trained, so you can count on me to be a well-behaved companion. If you're searching for a loyal and fun-loving furry friend who's ready to bring joy and excitement into your life, then look no further, because I'm your girl! Adult (estimated between 2 and 7 years, exact age unknown) Spayed female 62 lbs. Gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered Gets along well with other dogs I'm all about spreading joy and affection wherever I go. With my contagious smile and wiggly butt, I'll charm my way into your heart in no time. I'm a gentle soul with a touch of wildness, making me the perfect blend of cuddly and playful. I adore making new friends, whether they have treats or not, but a tasty snack will definitely earn you bonus points! I love playing with other dogs, so having a canine companion in my new home would be the cherry on top. I'm also a big fan of toys, and stuffed animals are my favorite, especially the ones that squeak! I've got the basics down—potty trained, leash manners, and some cool tricks up my sleeve. Plus, I'm a pro at giving and receiving kisses, and I never say no to belly rubs and butt scratches. Ready to add a sprinkle of sweetness to your life? Come meet me today! Story
Hi there, my name is Slim Jim. Or sometimes it's Bubba. Or Bubby. Or Slimbo. Or Rambo. I have a lot of names. My foster family says I have a big heart, big smarts, and big farts!  I have a big heart because I love lots of stuff, like making new human friends and CAR RIDES. Seriously I have no sense of stranger danger and will try to jump in anyone's car for a ride. I love a good chew treat and cheeseburgers. I love my blankie and sleeping all snuggled up in my crate, so will you please tuck me in every night? I love snuggles and giving kisses, but maybe bigger kids would be best for me because I REALLY get into the snuggles and don't want to accidentally knock a tiny human down. I do NOT love the cold or rainy weather, but I love dressing up in my sweaters and jackets to stay warm! I love butt scratches, tummy rubs, all kinds of adventures, and learning new things.    Speaking of learning new things, I have big smarts in this big noggin of mine! I pick up on new tricks super fast and already know how to sit, lay down, shake, wait, back (to sit in the back seat of the car), cross (the street), and turn left (I'm working on 'right'). I am great at food puzzles, and especially love my snuffle mat. I am crate trained and super polite on my leash when we're out for walks. I even know how to use agility equipment and am learning how to use a doggy treadmill. My recent record is 13 MPH!   My big farts are not so bad if I use a puzzle feeder, because then I don't eat so fast. It's this stubby, snorty nose of mine, I can't help but take in extra air.   There are a few things I don't love, mostly kitties (I want to eat them) and other dogs (they scare me). I take a cheap, daily anxiety medication (cost is under $10/mo) which helps me be more comfortable and my foster family has done a TON of training with me. They are sponsoring a private training session for whoever adopts me, to set me up for success in my new home!    Also, because I have such big smarts I take some things as a personal challenge. Crates and fences, for example. I think they are puzzles to be solved! I need a beefier crate than most dogs and a solid plan to keep me in the yard if I'm off-leash, because if that fence isn't solid like Mount Everest I am outtie! But I don't chew on or damage things in the house, don't worry about that.    I've been waiting for a home of my very own for far too long! So if you're looking for a Very Good Boy who you can have a lot of fun with, please reach out and ask for me, Slim Jim aka Bubba aka Bubby aka Slimbo aka Rambo.         Approximate DOB: 2021 Foster Home Location: Madison    If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful dogs, you can apply on our website: https://forms.gle/MGakwmFh92UiK9iM6     Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog that interest you. All of our dogs are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect dog!     Our adoption fees:  Adults (up to 7 years): $275 Seniors (8 years and up): $200     All dogs are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies, bordatella and distemper, tested for heartworm and microchipped.April 21, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Illinois applications are considered if the home is owned, no small children reside in the home and if there is an excellent vet check. Sweetie, also known as Sweet Girl, arrives in Wisconsin on May 5th. Sweetie is as sweet as her name implies. She is about six years old and weighs around 51 pounds. In her foster home, she lives with other dogs. She does not have experience living with cats or kids though. Sweetie has not always had the best life, but since being rescued she has gotten the vet care she needed to be a happy, healthy dog. Being a bulldog, priority will be given to adopters with specific bulldog experience. We know her photos in her profile are not great, but we are working on having her foster send more soon. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Learn more or begin the application process at Paddy's Paws at paddyspaws.blogspot.com
