Story
Oh Ramona! You've been waiting so long. We just know your person is out there somewhere! Ramona is an adorable small-sized pittie with some serious pizazz. She absolutely adores humans, toys, and belly rubs. However, she's highly reactive to other dogs and will need to be an only pup. She also requires a secure yard where she can get her energy out, because she hates being cooped up for long periods of time. Despite her occasional imitations of a Tasmanian devil, Ramona actually does very well on leash and knows her basic obedience commands. She's had a lot of training and just needs the right adopter to bring out her best. Call the Ranch to make an appointment to meet her today! Read more about Ramona here:  https://rrdog.org/rescue-ranch-pocket-pittie-has-been-waiting-nearly-2-years-for-her-person/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       April 15, 2024, 10:13 pm

Chip, Chip, Chipotle! Are you ready to add some spice to your life? Then come on down and meet this adorable pittie mix! Chipotle is a happy, eager, energetic boy who is still looking for his forever home after a long residence at the Ranch. He'll need a large fenced yard to run around in and a loving family to dote on him and take him out for lots of adventures. He is treat motivated and very smart--he is a champ at Sit and Down! Chip also loves to play in the water in the summertime! He is dog reactive but he can get along with some calm dogs. One pepper in the sauce is enough, though, and Chip would prefer to be the one love of your life. Do you have a hankering for this handsome, spicy fellow? Then call the Ranch to meet him today! Rodeo is one of our wonderful deaf dogs! He's an extra-big, cuddly, energetic boy who simply loves humans. He relies on hand signals for communication and knows the signs for Heel, Stop, Sit, and Come. He's smart and willing to learn--all he needs is an adopter who will take the time to reach him in a way he can understand. Rodeo's adopter will need to learn how to use a vibrating training collar (included) for safety. He'd love to find a home with his best female friend, Lydia. We promise that once you've forged a bond with this dear dog you'll be in for a lifetime of love! Story
If you were to ask us which dog here at the Ranch is easiest to love, we would probably say Mayzie! Adorable Mayzie is a gorgeous blue-nose American Staffordshire terrier who first came to us from county animal control. She is just an angel: loving, affectionate, gentle, happy, eager to please... the list goes on. Her beautiful blue coat and charming smile are the cherry on top of this sweet-as-a-sundae girl. If you are looking for a dog who will be your constant companion, a calm and affectionate family member, the friend of all your friends, a sofa-snuggler, and a bed-hog, then look no further. Mayzie will be all that and more! Mayzie is leash trained, but although she's compact she is strong for her size. She could use some help learning not to pull and brush up on her manners. But with her desire to please her handler, training should be a simple matter. We don't know her history with cats. We think she would do well with children. All in all, Mayzie is ready to be a fabulous, friendly addition to some lucky family. Could it be yours? Then come on down to the Ranch to meet her today! Story
Otis was born in our home and has been with us his entire life. He is a very good boy, but needs a lot of attention. He does not do well with little kids because of the loud and high pitch noises. He does fine with my kitties, but I couldn’t tell you if he will do okay with other cats. He will need to be the only dog, as he doesn’t socialize well with other dogs and can be perceived as aggressive instead of playing rough. He is not an aggressive dog by any means, but is very excitable and has a ton of energy. I have medical issues and am forced to move, and will not be able to keep him in my new living situation.
