Story
Meet Noah! Noah was found along with his sister Noelle abandoned on the streets of southern CA, suffering from mange and untreated skin infections. Despite Noah's rough start to life he is bursting with love and affection and has not lost any trust in humans. Noah is around 9 months of age and a pit bull mix type pup. Noah is being treated for his demodex mange ( not contagious)  and well on his way to looking and feeling his best. He is currently here at our facility and is learning all kinds of good things. Noah is working on his crate training, potty training, and socilization. Noah can be unsure of some dogs at first, but once he knows they are friendly he enjoys playing. Noah is still learning appropriate play and boundaries around other dogs and does well with other well balanced female dogs, his size or larger at this time. Noah can be a sensitive guy and is working on building some confidence. Noah's ideal home would be with a person or family, who can continue his training, socialization and set clear boundaries for him so he can mature into a well balanced adult dog. Story
Meet Elvis! He originally came into our care a few years ago, and sadly due to someunexpected circumstances with his adopter, Elvis has made his way back into our care. This handsome blue suede bully earned his moniker after the King of Rock n' Rolls famous lip curl.  And lucky for Elvis (and his future family), our vet confirmed that he has a cleft lip (not a cleft palate), so he gets to rock all the cuteness of his wonky, tooth-exposed smile, without any of the breathing or eating complications that come with a cleft palate!  We will be updating more on his personality and what he's looking for in a home as we learn a bit more about where he's at these days. Stay tuned! Elvis would do best in a home with...Cats : Nope! Dogs : Well-balanced females only, please!  Kiddos : Older kiddos (10+)! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. To be considered as Elvis' forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Follow us on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! Story
Meet Jake This handsome man is Jake Gyllenpaws. Jake is a real model and is good at stealing hearts with his good looks. His foster mom says Jake has the “model look” to him. He lays down and when you stop petting him, he looks back at you with "Blue Steel." Of course, this look often ends with more pets and kisses for the sweet boy. How could you not just love all over this boy? Jake loves to cuddle on the couch and be by your side soaking up all the love. After being stuck in the shelter, Jake has been working so hard on his doggie manners and wants to show you how far he's come. He can sit, lie down, and has been working on learning to stay. He is potty trained and loves to be outside in a yard with his family. He doesn’t much care for the crate, but his foster family is committed to showing him it can be a pawsitive place. Jake is a gentle boy and sensitive. After his last vet visit, he looked quite sad, so his foster mom took him to get a pup-cup and it made him very happy again. Jake will require continued spoiling and love, as he deserves the best. Jake is living with 2 other dogs in his foster family and loves having play mates. They get along very well outside of treat time. Jake would prefer not to share. It’s likely best to feed Jake separately from other resident dogs since he’s still learning that sharing is caring. This Jake Gyllenpaws isn’t a fan of cats. A home without felines is best for him. Jake is a Velcro boy and loves to be with his family. His human foster brother is turning out to be his best friend. Jake is learning to be gentle with him because he gets so excited when he sees him. Although Jake hasn’t met any smaller children, we think he would do well with kids over 10. He does like zoomies and with his zest for life, he may knock over the smaller ones trying to play. Sweet Jake is a real lap dog at heart and loves being by your side. If you're looking for an energetic and loving pup to join your family, Jake Gyllenpaws could be the perfect match for you! Story
Emma is around 3 yo., 65 lbs. Emma is a people lover and will be a faithful companion. She's an energetic girl who will need a home that loves to be active. She would be a great hiking or running buddy. Emma does have a prey drive so no small animals. Emma is crate and potty trained and walks well on leash. She knows general obedience and the "place" command. Staying relaxed and calm in all situations is her biggest challenge, however she's doing excellent with us. She'll need a home that loves to provide a structured environment, leadership, and sets rules and boundaries. We'll teach potential adopters everything we've worked on with Emma. Emma is the typical pittie in that she prefers slower introductions to other dogs. She would do best with a more submissive and easy going canine friend. She has done extremely well with a balanced female shepherd at our rescue. She also does great on walks with other dogs if they're respectful and well-behaved. Emma is a very sweet girl and has the most adorable "submissive" grin. She always makes us smile with her happy demeanor, and honestly, how can you not love her smile?! All of our adult dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. They all receive training to make the transition as successful as possible. If you're interested in a meet, you must fill out an application on our website www.wallflowersshine.com/application. We always post updates on our dogs on our IG page, the_wallflowers_shine_project, under “stories” and “highlights”. Thank you for your interest in one of our dogs.

Story
Jackson (Jax) is looking for his family! Please adopt me now <3 This guy is a fun loving 70 lbs American Bulldog mix with possibly some other bully and/or Weimaraner mixed in. He is about 4.5 years old.  He loves to go for walks, would be an excellent running/hiking buddy.  He is so crate trained that if you say kennel, he goes right to it.  He also will put himself to bed in his crate if he feels you are staying up too late.  He has that awesome puppy energy but the smarts to immediately calm down as soon as you say his name.  He knows sit, lay down, go out (from the kitchen lol) and walks beautifully on a leash. Best as an only dog because his past experience with other dogs is mixed. He does best with a strong leader. No cats, but he is okay with chickens. Out of an abundance of caution, no small kids even though he's shown no issues with kids and actually likes them. He's fixed, chipped, and current on his vaccinations. Adoption fee of $250 includes the aforementioned items. Currently in need of new foster (or adopter) in Oregon. He can be adopted in Oregon or Southwest Washington. You must complete an application before we are able to accommodate any request for a meet and greet. Please apply here: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/0b9tH5evbdz.
