WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Jay - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I'm the result of a litter from an unspayed mom. Just a youngster that is wanting nothing more then a loving home. I'm such a sweetie that it won't take long to have you wrapped right around my paw!! I'm only 7 months old, an active playful and adorable pup ready to have a blast with my new family. Let's get ready...for everything!! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes, camping trips or trips to town, it's all fun stuff for me! I come in at about 38lbs and shouldn't get a whole lot bigger at my adult weight. What a pawsome size for all those fun activities and action packed adventures. But guess what? There's still plenty of room for you on the couch so we can get our snuggles on!! I've got a very sweet and submissive demeanor that will make for me being a great family addition!! I love people both tall and small and I do great with the other foster pups here. I'm working on my house training skills and am doing really good with it, knowing how to use the doggie door when I need to go out. Are you looking for the sweetness factor along with the energy level to keep up with all your activities? Oh my, you just found me! Hurry and fill out my adoption application so we can start having all that fun all the time!! These 2 brothers include - Jay and Bowser

I'm the result of a litter from an unspayed mom. Just a youngster that is wanting nothing more then a loving home. I got my name from the Old French origin meaning 'good company' and from the Mario bros video game as the loveable fire breathing Koopa. I can't actually breathe fire but I am quite loveable and I do make for great company. I'm only 7 months old, an active playful and adorable pup ready to have a blast with my new family. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Bunni - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Bunni is my name and hopping around having a good ole time is my game, not to mention my ears that look like they belong on a bunny!! I had found myself locked up in the doggie slammer thinking I was gonna be doing 10 to life. But fortunately for me I got myself a reprieve. It was pretty darn scary in there and I still am a little nervous with new situations and loud noises but I'm still a very happy happy gal, always wearing a smile on my face!! I'm finding out this hopping around, getting the zoomies and in general just having a good ole time is really the bomb!! With my scary start I would probably do best in a quieter adult only home. I get along very well with my foster sibling having her to help me gain confidence and showing me the ropes of family home life. I do have a higher prey drive and would need to be in a cat and rodent type pet free home. I am a very smart lil pup that has mastered some commands already and the doggie door! I would love to have someone continue to teach me lots and lots of new things. I am a master at puzzle games and am so proud to show you when I get one completed. They are one of my favoritest, along with my stuffies and cuddles with YOU!! I'm around a year and a half of age and come in at the 49ish lb range. That's a fabulous size for outdoor adventures and I love adventures and they usually involve car rides!! YIPPEE! Long walks, hiking (nothing better then putting my nose to the ground and going on a 'sniffari') and I could even make a great jogging pawtner, oh my, let's go!! I am medium to high energy and would love having an active person to share all my ready to go-ness (see, I am smart, I just made up my very own word)!! Are you an adventurous outdoorsy person that needs a special someone to share in your quality time? A constant in your life to be by your side whether it's inside or out? A BFF that is loyal to a fault? Hey, hey that sounds just like ME!!!!

Story
Meet Keiko!! WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Keiko - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The name Keiko is of Japanese origin meaning 'happy child'. That name sure fits me to a T as I'm such a happy happy girl with always a smile on my face. I'm about 10 months old and an active gal that is also super affectionate and cuddly. Nothing comes close to getting snuggly with my people! Since I am still just a pup although a fully grown one but a pup none the less, I will need lots of exercise and playtime. I do great with dogs and kids and wouldn't mind at all if I were to get a sibling of either variety to have a blast with in the yard or I'd also be a happy happy gal getting all the attention as your one and only! I'm a smart lil cookie (I know cuz my foster mom tells me it's so!) and have already mastered a few basic commands such as sit, shake, down and am improving on my leash skills. I love to learn, being as I'm a real people pleaser and can't wait to see what else I can pick up. My favoritest things are playing ball, going for car rides, trips to the doggie park and taking walks! I'm at the perfectly pawsome size of 60lbs to tag along on ALL of our action packed adventures!! I have a velvety soft coat and some amazing colored eyes (they match my coat!!) that you can get lost in! If you add in my affectionate and playful nature I'm got the makings to be a fabulous family addition. I'm just needing YOU to fill out my adoption application!!

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Scout. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs. I was found as a stray in the Homeworth area and I was brought into the pound. I have been a very good boy here at the pound. I am smart, super trainable and super sweet and loving. I have been good with the other dogs that I've met here at the pound and I like to play. I am a good boy in my kennel and I appear to have been a house dog. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Get ready to meet the newest combo meal sensation, brought to you by McDonald's... Oops, we mean McDaddy and his sister wives, McMuffin and McFlurry! These delightful pups were discovered living in a McDonald's drive-thru, where they'd been flipping tails for months. The good news? One of the sister wives, McFlurry, has already found her forever home and is loving life! But the McDaddy-McMuffin duo is still awaiting their perfect match, whether that means together or apart. What's the secret sauce to their happiness? Well, these two definitely need another canine companion to keep those tails wagging! Let's meet the star of the show, McDaddy! He's a sweet, middle-aged guy with a low-energy vibe. He enjoys leisurely strolls through the yard, cozy couch naps, and most of all, he loves chilling in his crate while keeping a watchful eye on the house. McDaddy is a people lover, but he's not so keen on the little ones-they make him a bit nervous. However, when it comes to other dogs, he's a real team player, and those pesky cats? Well, he's too smart to bother with them. He's diligently working on his housetraining manners and wears a fancy belly band until he's mastered it all. But for a former drive-thru aficionado, he's adjusting beautifully to the cozy comforts of home life, complete with his very own spot and foster humans who adore him for exactly who he is! With a heart full of gratitude for his newfound safety, regular meals, and understanding and loving people, McDaddy is more than ready for his forever companion, whether it's a friend for your dog or a package deal with his lovely sister, McMuffin. So, if you're ready to add a dash of love and happiness to your life, don't leave McDaddy at the drive-thru! Swing by and let him be the perfect addition to your family. And don't forget to check out his stunning sister, McMuffin-she's head over paws for her foster home too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
