**COURTESY POST**-- Contact kfour25@gmail.com to learn more. Sheba's original owner passed away from cancer. A kind friend of the owner has been caring for Sheba in her home. There are other dogs in this home. Sheba prefers to be an ONLY dog so this has presented a bit of shuffling in the home. To keep the dogs separated, they have to rotate the dogs out of their crates. Sheba would love to have a permanent home where she wouldn't have to be shuffled about. She loves people. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, on heartworm and flea preventative and is in tiptop shape. Could you be the guardian angel that Sheba has been waiting for? Please contact kfour25@gmail.com to meet Sheba and her foster Mom or have any questions answered.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Hi, I’m Pringle—a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier with a stunning blue brindle and white coat and a heart that’s even more beautiful. I weigh 58 pounds, but don’t tell me that—I’m absolutely convinced I’m a lapdog. If you’ve got a couch, a blanket, and a little space in your lap, I’ll be right there soaking up every ounce of love you’ve got to give. I’m spayed, vaccinated, heartworm positive (currently undergoing treatment), and fully house, crate, and leash trained. I walk well on a leash, though I might pull a bit if I’m walking with other dogs or something exciting catches my eye. I’m potty trained, gentle with kids, friendly with dogs, and I adore cats. And when it’s time to play? I’m all about the dog toys—bring on the squeakers, stuffies, and chewies. I’ve got a moderate energy level that makes me the perfect balance of chill and playful. I love lounging around indoors, soaking up the calm, but when I’m outside, I perk up and enjoy the fresh air and movement—though right now, I’m taking it easy while I go through heartworm treatment. Keeping things mellow is important for my recovery, but once I’m cleared, I’ll be ready for more adventures. I’m loyal, loving, and happiest when I’m close to my people. I’ll settle in wherever you are, including at bedtime, and I’m just as content watching the world go by as I am snuggling up for a nap. I’m smart, eager to please, and the kind of companion who’ll stick by your side through thick and thin. I’m currently being fostered in Christiansburg, VA, but I can be transported out of state for the right home (transport fees may apply depending on distance and volunteer availability). If you’re looking for a soulful, snuggly best friend who’ll love you with everything she’s got, I’m ready to curl up beside you and never let go.

Story
Meet Ella! Ella is a sweet, 2-year-old female Boxer who came to us as a stray, so not much is known about her past. However, her foster parents have gotten to know her well and can attest to her lovable personality and clever nature!Ella is housebroken, though she doesn’t give obvious signals, so her adopter will need to monitor her after meals and drinks. She is incredibly smart—she can even open doors by jumping and hitting the handle! She has a bit of prey drive, so she would do best in a home without small pets. This fun-loving girl enjoys leash walks, though she can get very excited and would benefit from some basic training. Ella is also a big snuggler and loves curling up on the couch with her people.Ella is not spayed yet, and she may not be adopted until her surgery, which is scheduled for December 17, 2025. However, her foster/adopter may care for her in a foster-to-adopt arrangement until she is able to be officially adopted. PRAS will provide food, a leash, and a collar for her foster term. The foster/adopter will be responsible for transporting her to and from the shelter for her surgery. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and playful Boxer to join your family, Ella might be the perfect match!
