Story
Adora-bull! That's how we'd describe Iliana, (Lily) our beautiful Staffordshire Terrier mix. She'd love to join your family! Lily is looking for an experienced dog owner to provide structure and snuggles! She'd do best in a home without kitty-cats as she likes to give chase and play! Lily does well with most dogs, when given a proper and slow introduction. She is a little wary of newcomers, but blossoms quickly when allowed patience to adjust on her terms. Lily loves to bestow sloppy doggie kisses upon her favorite caretakers. She just enjoys human company! Lily would excel in a home with a fenced yard so can chase after toys to her heart's content. If you're a seasoned dog owner with patience and love to spare, please fill out an online adoption application! We know this adora-bull girl is adopta-bull! Lily is currently located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with Lily would take place!

Story
Simon came into our lives last spring. He was left outside tied to someones front porch. My dad took him in and brought him up north to our cabin were they bonded. Simon enjoyed going for walks, sharing meals and cuddling with my dad at the cabin. In the beginning of December Simon and my dad moved back home to my house. My dad has since relocated to the city, and due to declining mobility and medical conditions can no longer care for him. Simon is 2 years old and loves to play with his Nylabones and braided rope toys. He is a quick learner and has mastered the sit, lay, and shake commands. Simon does not display any aggressive behaviors and will share food and toys with anyone. Simon may think he is a lap dog but he will sit by your side for hours. Outside, Simon runs and plays but comes when called and when he gets distracted he responds well with a beep or vibrate of the collar. No use of a kennal and has free range of the house, including furniture and our bed.

Story
Meet Junior! He`s been getting some much needed TLC in an amazing foster home, but is on the hunt for his forever family! He`s completely potty-trained, loves meeting new people that visit, and enjoys learning new things when treats are involved. Like all dogs, Junior is still working on quirks. Junior is doing better with car rides and his fosters have found that he enjoys them when the window is down for him to look out! Junior also gets very excited by squirrels and bunnies on walks and wants to chase them, making some walks more eventful than others. Here`s what his foster parents have to say about him:Junior is always smiling, and it is the sweetest thing. He is crate trained, he really doesn’t need a crate, but he does like his crate. He is very resilient; he’s been through a lot over the last month or two and he has come through it so well. Junior has not tried to “steal” anything from the dining room table or counters. He has not tried to get to any of them. That said, he loves to snuggle. If you are looking for a poochie that will climb into bed with you or hang out on the couch with you, we suspect he’d be there in about 1.5 seconds if you ask him. Junior has met young and old people in our home, and he loves them all. He also does not seem to have a preference between male and female humans. His favorite human if the one that is giving him attention. Junior thinks he`s a big lap dog and loves to be near people. If you want a snuggly poochie, Junior is your dog! This snuggly goofball is looking for a home without other pets. Story
My name is Apollo, and I just turned three years old in December 2024. I’ve now been at NAS for over one year and all I’m wishing for is a family of my own. I was found as a stray initially and have been growing up in the shelter and my foster home. I can be described as a big toddler who doesn`t know my size. I LOVE to play tug and show off the toys I find around the room or the yard. Also, my #1 favorite thing is cuddling. I love to burrow underneath the covers and snuggle up with my favorite people. If I’m not under the covers, I`ll crawl up into your arms so you can hold me. I know I`m not a little guy, but I`m not too big to hold, right? I`m also very good at walks, but I need to be reminded sometimes not to pull on my leash. My foster parents say I`m really smart and that I`m really quick to learn new tricks, especially when food is involved. I know all kinds of tricks now, and I`m a very good listener. Sometimes I get a little too excited when I`m around other dogs, but I am muzzle trained. I would do best in a home without cats since they are extremely exciting to chase. I haven`t had experience living with another dog, but I could potentially live with a very calm dog after slow introductions. Because of my size and rough play style, I`d do well in a home with older children or adults.I like spending time outside so I can get my daily zoomies in. When I`m inside, I love to look out the window so I can let my foster parents know who`s out there. Lastly, I have a really expressive face and I`m good at using it to communicate my needs, whether it`s dinner time, play time, or I need to go outside. I hope to meet you soon! I really don’t want to spend another birthday without my forever family. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website.
