Energy level: medium Can be handled/touched: Not initially, he takes some time to warm up to people. Ajax is extremely affectionate once he gets to know you. Barker: Just to alert us to visitors and before meal times. Flight Risk: No Food aggressive: With other dogs, yes. Familiar people, no. Walks on a leash: Yes Rides well in a car: Yes Destructive: No Needs a home with a yard: Yes Needs another dog: No, should be the only dog Can live in an apartment: No, would love a country setting he isn't a city dog Back Story: Dumped in a veterinary practice's parking lot in bad shape and found to have large bladder stones. NDR raised the money for his surgery and he has made a full recovery but will need to stay on special food to prevent any further medical issues with stones coming back. Hi nice to meet you Ajax here let me tell you just a little about me and I was told honesty is the best policy for me to find my human Soulmate! I will need a strong, confident handler that is willing to show me leadership and consistency , I'm a very sweet boy if your willing to give me the time I will need to adapt to my new home and surroundings. I love to go swimming (It's one of my favorite things) hiking or just being the Andy Griffith dog lounging on the front porch catching some rays!!!. My good friends Stephanie and Elizabeth love taking me out on adventures and tell me what a good boy I am (shhh I love those girls) but it took awhile to trust them but man I'm glad I did !! I'm told I'm a little difficult sometimes and that's why my friends are making sure I find the exact home that will let me shine. I may not be perfect but with the right person I know I will be amazing. So that's all I'm going to say about me I will let my other friends fill you in on the rest; all my friends at NDR just want to see me shine in my new beginning!! I got bruno when he was one he is now 3.December 5th he will be 4.I wish for bruno to have a loving home. Bruno has bad trust issues and has previously bitten someone.Bruno loves to go for walks.He loves a good snuggle.He is very protective.He is good with children. He is not good aggressive.He does best with another dog because he does have a bit of separation anxiety.He is a great dog once he feels comfortable and safe with you. From my knowledge of his last home he was abused.I work multiple jobs and don’t give him the time he deserves.Give this beautiful boy the home he deserves.

Harper is a good dog who deserves more than we can give her at the moment. She is very sweet and loving. She does not do well with other dogs. She can be apprehensive of new people at first but warms up very quickly.

Story
A wonderful couple took in this big playful dog to keep her safe and decided to foster her and find her a forever home.  Sissy was dumped in their neighborhood and choose their house to make herself at home. Sissy has been spayed and up to date on vaccinations.  She is approximately 18 months old and weighs about 65 pounds.  They are working on house training, she is crate trained and left in a crate when they leave the house. She knows a few commands like SIT, STAY & COMES when her name is called.  They are working on other basic commands and behavior issues.  Sissy is a big girl and still likes to jump like puppies do.  She will need a home that is active and can walk her and give her the exercise she needs. Her foster home has another dog and Sissy loves playing tug or war and running zoomies around the yard.  If you are interested in adopting Sissy, please contact IDA GARCIA @ 210-317-6381 This is a courtesy posting for the foster family.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
