Story
*** BREED EXPERIENCED OWNERS ONLY, PLEASE *** 'NASH' is a handsome, 1.5 yr. old old, 75 lb. German/Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix male, that has 'double dew claws' on his back legs. Nash is a big couch potato and a silly boy. Nash knows basic commands: sit, wait, break (release), come and shake, and he will gladly practice each for a treat or a meal. Nash is a sweet, smart, affectionate and obedient boy, but initially leery of strangers. On leash, without distractions, he is a good boy and a pleasure to walk. Nash likes to play fetch and loves his treats, both which are great ways to win him over, make him more comfortable, and begin bonding. Nash warms to you and loves being petted, sitting next to you, and just basically 'hanging out'. Nash's optimal home would be a quiet, low stimulation one with a confident, calm, breed-experienced owner willing to help him build confidence as he matures and knows how to positively direct and mitigate/manage the breed characteristic traits of guard dogs through exercise, training and positive reinforcement techniques. (He is both highly food motivated as well as praise driven). A home with high energy, volume or traffic would not suit Nash, so children would not a good fit with him. Nash loves other dogs, especially playful females. Through a fence he may bark, but then run alongside with others. He has a strong prey drive and is territorial, so he needs a fenced in yard. Nash is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do its own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Dublin I am a three month old puppy, possibly Anatolian Shepherd mix, so I'm going to be a large dog. I was recently neutered and vetted. I am a very loving boy, but I'm also very timid with humans. I need socializing with dogs and humans.  I'd like to know my foster mom is near, but I do not necessarily need to walk right next to her. If she's watching TV, then I will want to be right by her for some pets.  I love to go on walks with my dog friends and I love to play. I am not quite gotten the hang of potty training, but I'm coming along.  My foster mom free feeds me after a large breakfast of rice or noodles, cooked meat and wet dog food. I'd like to sleep on the floor near my foster mom or in the kitchen but sometimes I make my way on her bed too and I'm good about not making messes on the bed. When mom is gone, she sometimes let us play with the other dogs where we have access to a fenced in yard or in the house. Sometimes she'll put me in a crate that is inside a corral area that has P pads, water, food, and toys I am looking for someone who will love me unconditionally and will want to play and go for walks. If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:        adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. Story
Odie (with white on face) and his littermates were found dumped on the side of a road. Odie is shy at first around people, but really thrives when in the company of other dogs! Odie is warming up to his foster family as they gain his trust. He is very good when being held. Odie would do well in a home with other dogs and children. He will be a large breed dog, so space for him to run should be considered. This breed is naturally a herder and loves outdoors. He has done fine as an inside dog, but you can really see his personality develop when he’s playing outside. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org

Delilah (with no white in photo) and her littermates were found dumped on the side of a road. Delilah is shy at first but is really sweet and gentle and has made great progress on trusting people since in her foster home. Delilah’s best qualities are that she loves belly rubs, she loves giving kisses, and she loves to chew on her toys. Delilah enjoys running around the backyard with her brother and the foster's dogs. Delilah would do well in a home with other dogs and children. She will be a large breed dog, so space for her to run should be considered. This breed is naturally a herder and loves outdoors! Story
Perth, named for a city in Australia is a sweet Australian Shepherd puppy. The Pups were born January 1, 2024. They are sweet, smart, have all their first shots (distemper/parvo/lepto, Bordetella, one year rabies) been microchipped, and are on heartworm/flea meds and are wormed. To adopt this beautiful puppy, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org and we will see if it is a good fit for you and the pup. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org . Thinking about a new puppy….. things to keep in mind: Puppy will need time, training, love and connection, mixed in with a load of attention. Best if children are school age or older; we will consider younger children only on exception basis. Puppies have small bladders and need to have someone to let them out regularly for potty breaks…..work from home, work part-time, come home at lunch…..need a plan as they will need you every 4 to 5 hours until they are at least 6 to 8 months old. Will your current pet be willing to accept a new puppy. Puppies can be a handful. Will you be traveling extensively for the next couple of months? Puppy proofing your home is like baby proofing you home; it requires effort. Puppies can go to their new homes from 8 weeks, but holding on a little longer and letting them go around 12 weeks can be really beneficial, as their development and socializing will be a lot more established by that point. Those few extra weeks can make a big difference in how they act in their new home….. more social, less nippy. The adoption fee is $400. April 15, 2024, 3:35 pm
