Meet Sunshine Louise! This beautiful Anatolian Shepard/Great Pyrenees mix is super sweet and wants to be your best friend. She currently weights about 90 lbs. She is house trained (she will ring bells on the back door to go outside). She is very well behaved and does not require a crate indoors. Sunshine is a very, very laid back girl….until she feels the need to guard her home. We are unsure of her age, but the guess is around 6 years old. She is smart and very treat motivated. She loves to go on walks especially first thing in the morning and after the sun goes down. She LOVES people and kids! She is good with other dogs as long as they respect her boundaries. She easily integrates into a pack, but remains kind of a loner. She is spayed, (after having 10 puppies), microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She has also completed Heart Worm treatment. Sunshine loves belly rubs and pets. She will look lovingly and longingly into your eyes like she knows that her life has been saved and she is so very grateful. She is a very calm girl who prefers to lay on the cool floor. She is a “guardian” breed and will quietly take up a position (usually in a doorway) and just relax. She knows basic commands but does have a stubborn streak. Usually a treat will encourage her to follow your directions. Sunshine does have a high prey drive, so no cats or tiny toy breeds please. She also has a history of fence jumping to pursue wildlife, so a privacy fence would be ideal. The lady got married and is now expecting and didn't want her service dog anymore. YES, I SAID SERVICE DOG Penny has all the training, and she served as a balance dog as well. She will be placed in a home where she is needed for some individual, along with her extremely expensive harness equipment. Penny's training also involved protection of her person, so she doesn't allow people or animals to approach. She will only be placed where there are no other pets, as she is the boss, and causes trouble with other dogs. We recommend further training with him in his new home, in addition to a handler who understands working dogs. Penny is extremely loving, beautiful, and blows coat twice a year with a vengeance. Penny loves outings, but we will provide a muzzle to keep her out of trouble with people who won't listen to you. Penny says she is ready to stop this hiatus now and get back to work.

Ricardo is a young Antolian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 70 lbs. He is a great dog. He loves kids and all humans. He is good with dogs but can be selective with males. Ricardo was found running the streets of Philly and ended up in a high intake shelter because another rescue was negligent in placing him in a home and never checked out the "adopter" very well. We got the call that he was in the shelter and because our microchip was planted we reclaimed Ricardo. He has been in a foster home with a close friend and also board member. He has been really good with the kids in the home, he has been also been good with the other dogs but can be selective with the male dogs in the home. He has done well with the one male pittie in the home. He hates the cats. He loves to be outside and fights to come inside. Ricardo loves the water and will lay in the baby pool and soak. He also loves to share the bed but he hogs most of the bed ##1734780##

Mila was surrendered because she wanted to be with people rather than sheep so she wasn't a very good livestock guard dog. Mila is really just a big ham who loves belly rubs. She is tons of fun and loves people. She is very food motivated so this can be used to help do some training with her. Mila loves people and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Due to her size, a home with kids 8+ is preferred (she loves kids but may accidently knock some smaller ones over). This gorgeous girl is about 2-3 years old and 90 lbs. Please help Mila find the loving home she deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).
