Story
Personality Overload Special Needs alert Binks has been a huge hit with everyone he has met. We can't believe he still hasn't found his people. Please check out his bio below and apply today. If he's not the right fit for you, please share his story! You never know who might be searching for this little guy Binks is a social little guy who has never met a stranger cuz everyone he meets is instantly his best friend. This little 10 pound guy will steal your heart the moment you lay eyes on him and you will fall madly in love after you hear his story! Binks was surrendered to Zoe's House due to uncontrollable seizures. His previous owners had a very active household and they were unable to provide Binks with the quiet, calm household he needed to live his best life. You see, Binks was born deaf. He cannot rely on his hearing to know what is going on around him and the high activity levels in his previous home were just too much for him to handle. Binks is currently on a low dose of meds for his seizures and they are now much better controlled . He will probably need to continue these meds (about $10 a month) for the rest of his life. Binks is currently in foster care with other dogs of all sizes as well as cats. He loves the other dogs and cats in his foster home and enjoys hanging out with them. He would do well in a home with other pets but he would also be perfectly content as the only "Apple of your eye A low activity home with no children is required for Binks. Visitors are fine, he actually loves kids but the constant commotion of an active young family will be too much for him to handle. Binks is neutered and UTD on vacines, dewormed, and microchipped. He is housebroken when taken out regularly, although regression is common in a new environment. He does not like his crate, at all... he actually HATES it and his protest bark is really loud! So a home where someone is around often would be ideal for him. He just wants to spend his days snuggled next to you on the couch or in bed with you at night. Story
Hi! My name is Charlie. I am a little guy with big personality. I was found as a stray and picked up by the Humane League till Zoe's House came to get me. I'm a mini poodle and at a whopping 9lbs, am full grown! We do not know how old I am, but think it's somewhere between 4 & 5 years old. I am my foster mom's first foster and she says I could not have been a better way to start! I am in good health. I am up to date a vaccines and heartworm negative. I have been neutered, microchipped, and had some teeth pulled, though I do not require soft food. I am food motivated and love almost anything, especially freeze dried treats. As tiny as I am, I'm not intimidated by much! I am large and small dog friendly. I will walk right up to the big boys to say hello, even if they are barking at me. I am cat friendly, by that I mean I'm curious but don't chase them, and their hissing sure doesn't scare me. Since being at my foster home I have had so many new experiences. I have learned to go up and down stairs though I still stumble sometimes. I know to go potty outside when I am taken out, and don't have accidents if I am taken out regularly. But I am happy to wear a belly band while inside to be safe. My foster mom says most days it stays dry. I get cold easily and don't mind wearing shirts to keep me warm. I did not mind being bathed and try to climb in the shower with my foster mom. I am a poodle breed which means I will need brushed regularly and groomed every 1-2 months. My foster dad says I tolerate that well. I have not been small child tested but would like a home with older or no children better for healthy boundaries and quieter environment. I ride in the car well but am not a fan of a crate. Even at night I sleep with my foster brothers in the big bed with my foster parents. I can walk on a leash but enjoy the freedom of a fenced backyard to explore, though it is not required. Due to my size I can easily slip through fences so I need to be watched in case I explore too far. My favorite things are snuggling with my foster mom, and playing with my foster brothers. I am happy to rest in your arms but come alive around other puppers. While I like to be the apple of your eye, I would do best in a home with other doggos to continue to teach me how to enjoy my new life as a pup. Story
Hi everyone, I'm Eleanor, aka Lenny! I'm a distinguished 3 year old standard sized poodle with gorgeous markings! I have put my years as a momma in commercial breeding behind me and I'm ready to learn what life is like in a safe and loving home. I am approximately 43lbs and I am crate trained, sleeping quietly in there at bedtime and I wait patiently to be let out.I will need some work with my ability to counter surf! I can really reach things and get into some precarious situations so a mindful eye on me will be needed. I do very well with bathing which is good because my coat will require frequent grooming appointments. I am housebroken, although when I go to my new home, I may regress. Thankfully I am an intelligent breed so things come fairly easy to me. I thrive on routine. I am a laidback type of gal, preferring a more calm and quiet life overall. I do like to watch tv and I'm currently binge watching Bridgerton. I enjoy the outdoors as well though, so an active family that enjoys walks/hiking would be best for me. I am very well behaved on my leash and walk like a dream! I will require a fenced in yard so you could say I'm a versatile type of gal! Loud sounds and sudden movement can startle me at times. Being kind and gentle are what I thrive to have in my home. My past experiences have made me timid but every day I'm becoming more and more confident and trusting. I'm a very sweet girl with lots of love to give. So far I haven't met a dog I did not like, and I would really like another fur sibling in my forever home .I have yet to meet up with a cat. I've had limited exposure to children but I think I prefer the company of those older. I am UTD on my vaccines, preventatives and spayed. If you are easy going, loving, and ready to continue to help me along on my journey to seeing what the good life is all about, please apply today!
