Story
Russell is a sweet, loving dog with a quirky side. He's a cattle dog by breed so he's very hyper and can be nippy especially w/ other animals. He's always lived with other dogs and has rarely become aggressive, but when crowded or shown aggression has become aggressive. He loves to be outside and explore his environment. He would be a good hiking buddy and has also ran with horse riding groups in the past and did really well with that. He likes to snuggle, but doesn't want to be picked up or grabbed. He's house trained and generally will notify if he needs to go out to use the bathroom. There have been rare accidents, but he really does try to alert that he needs to go out. He knows some basic commands like sit/lay down/stay as well. Generally he's a good loving dog. Just a bit hyper/quirky and not great with small kids. He's never attacked a child, but doesn't do well if he's cornered/chased so if he would regularly be exposed to small children that's not ideal.

Story
💙Meet Redmont Redmont is a Australian Cattle Dog/Pittie mix named after the Birmingham neighborhood he wandered as a stray dog for at least a week, capturing the attention of all the residents. After outsmarting many neighbors who tried to catch him, he was finally captured when he followed another dog into a fenced-in yard. Although he was very scared of humans at the time, his love of other dogs helped lead him to a better place. 🐾 He’s been in a foster home for several months now, and with the help of professional assistance and dedicated foster parents, he has transformed from a skiddish dog scared of all humans into a dog who will approach people with his tail wagging.🐕‍🦺 His foster parents find it remarkable that even though he was so scared of them, he never once growled or snapped at them. He’s a very gentle, sweet dog who plays really well with the other dogs in his foster home. He would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, and would be fine with another dog who is more of the alpha. He’s looking for guidance from the other dogs around him, and will walk away when another dog corrects him. He may look muscular and tough, but he’s really a softy. Redmont is estimated to be about a year old. When he plays with other dogs, you can really see his youthful energy. But after playtime, he’s happy to chill and take a nap. This smart boy is completely house trained! Redmont loves going for walks, and walking was one of the biggest factors in his transformation. His foster parents want him to go to a home where his new family is committed to walking him daily (weather permitting). They also would prefer a home with a fenced yard. While he has improved so much in just a few months, certain noises still scare him and he might have the tendency to run away when scared. He is not an escape artist, though, so a fenced yard would be sufficient to keep him safe. Redmont’s foster mom wanted to document his journey for all the neighbors who became so invested in him, so she created an Instagram account (redmont_the_dog) for the neighbors to follow his progress. Please check it out if you want to get a better sense of how he has transformed into the special dog he is today. 🫶

He thrives on socializing and would be overjoyed to have a furry playmate in his new home. Jango enjoys embarking on adventures, whether it's a leisurely walk in the park, a hike in the mountains, or a brisk jog around the neighborhood. To ensure Jango's well-being, there is a $300 adoption fee that covers his neuter procedure, vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. This fee not only helps Jango but also supports the rescue organization in continuing their noble work. Jango dreams of a forever home with a fenced yard where he can frolic and play to his heart's content.
