Story
Cali is from Cape Ann Animal Aid. We wanted a companion for our other rescue- Honey. We love Cali and have found her to be very loyal / protective ( will not leave your side), affectionate- sleeps in bed with us and cuddles on the couch, curious about everything and loves to explore. She plays fetch and is past the puppy destructive stage. She prefers antlers and rubber chew toys. Cali is energetic and displays tendencies specific to her breed like herding. She is very smart and follows commands easily. She needs a lot of play time and room to run and would be best placed in a home with a dog that has similar energy or as an only with plenty of room to run / exercise. We are sad to admit that our family is not the best fit for her needs. It takes time to settle into new situations but we must face the fact that Cali does not get along with our 9 year old cat and she tends to bully our timid Honey who cannot match her energy. We are committed to finding her best home.

He's aced his dog test too!  From his foster mom -  "He's hands down the smartest dog to ever come into my house. Learning tricks is like a walk in the park for him. Loose leash walking is a work in progress, but he's nonreactive to other dogs and people passing by."  1 yo/40 lbs so sweet - so smart crate trained & good on leash Dog Friendly (loves to play) neutered, utd on vaccines, microchippedknows alot of the basics !  ______________ready for forever 4/25 - apply today please remember we are all volunteers, incomplete applications will not be processed If you are interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application and we will reach out to you within 48 hours to start the approval process. https://galsbestpal.com/adoption/ It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for, we are experts in matchmaking and can talk with you and figure out what PAL would be a good fit for your home! Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: UnknownGood with kids: Yes, 13+Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesGrizzly James is a really good boy who loves to snuggle and hang out with his humans. In fact, he thinks he is a lapdog despite his size!Grizzly James has yet to meet a toy he doesn’t like, but he is an expert at surgically deconstructing stuffed toys, so he is better suited for tougher toys like bones, Kongs, rubber rings, etc. When he is not entertaining himself with toys he likes to make very silly noises to get your attention and remind you that he is nearby in case you have the sudden urge to give him belly rubs.Grizzly James is extremely smart and considers himself to be a mischievous mastermind. His fosters have noted he sometimes buries his food bowl under his blanket to try and fool his humans into thinking he hasn’t received dinner yet and should be fed again. He is a lovable goofball and is looking for someone that will enjoy his antics!Grizzly James is crate trained and house trained. He also knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and is currently working on mastering ‘down’. He loves car rides and will try to rest his snoot on your shoulder despite being in the backseat and buckled into his car harness.Grizzly James has shown lots of improvement when walking on a leash over the last few months. He is not a ‘puller’, but will try to chase after cars (or those pesky squirrels) from time to time and uses all his body weight to lunge into the move. He is deceptively strong for such a compact fellow, so a firm hand on the leash is a must when waddling him about town. His current foster walks him on a transitional lead and has found this to be a key to success when walking him on a leash.Grizzly James is so excited to find his forever family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.April 23, 2024, 10:59 am

She is a curious and shy pup who is learning to break out of her shell each day. Inez’s ideal home would include an active, patient family who is committed to continuing her training and helping her build her confidence.Inez gets along well with dogs and may need some extra space and time to get to know them. She is learning her manners and taking cues from others. Once she makes friends, Inez loves to play with other dogs and would thrive in a mentally-stimulating environment or agility classes. Inez would do just fine with cats and dog-savvy children in the home. She is crate trained and housetrained. Inez goes into the crate with no issue and sleeps in their overnight without a peep. She has worked really hard on her potty training and is accident-free on a regular routine and schedule. Inez is doing great on her leash and continuing to navigate the world more confidently each day. Inez has so much love to give and would make a great addition to any family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you would like to apply to take Gunner/IRGENT home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. 2 1/2 years old This baby has found itself in a high kill animal control, adoptions nationwide are at an all time low, if your looking to adopt please do it now! All the urgent dogs are temperament tested in animal control, it’s not extensive but if they have made it this far they must be good dogs. Story
Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He is not great in a crowd of dogs but will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home! ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!
