Story
This is a Courtesy Post. Molly is a beautiful Stumpy Tail Australian Cattle dog. She weighs about 35 lbs and is just 4 yrs old. She has been with her foster family for about a year now after coming up from Alabama and delivering her puppies on the transport! Molly has received some professional training due to her anxiety and herding/chasing instincts. Being a herding dog, she is very intelligent and has a great desire to learn new things. Slow introductions to new people help Molly to understand there is nothing to fear. We are in search of special adopter who wants to understand their dog and help them be the best friend they can be. A fenced yard is required and there can be not cats or small children. Molly likes other dogs but does best with non-dominant male dogs. She loves to play and would make a great agilities dog. She is truly one of a kind and will make a wonderful companion to the right adopter. Molly is spayed, up to date on core vaccines and microchipped. Please complete an application on our website. www.tinymiraclespcr.org

Story
Hazel, also known as Hazelnuts and Squirrel Girl, is your companion for all things chore related! She is thought to be a Blue Heeler/Belgian Shepherd mix, is around 35 pounds and just over two years old. True to her obvious + suspected breeds, she is a working dog through and through who needs adequate physical and mental stimulation in order to be a content lap dog. She is capable of both and happiest when fulfilled is these ways. Currently, she is able to go on runs with her foster human. Generally, 2 two-mile jaunts to book end her days seem to satisfy her. She might do well in the country as her strong cattle dog behavior indicates a yearning for work life. So far, she seems happy with her urban life as long as she is able to find a runner or avid hiker to share her life with. Hazel also companionably shares her current life with an 80 pound pitbull/mastif + a little chihuahua mix. She is highly intelligent and agile - we suspect you could train her to do most anything. Perhaps agility training may satisfy her need to work. Hazel prefers her own space for sleeping and plays well alone, but is fully engaged with her human when they play with toys or climb trees (hence the name Squirrel Girl). If you are intrigued by this sweet, active girl, begin your inquiry by filling out our Adoption Application.

Story
Ollie's personality shines at home. He is an absolute goof ball and makes us laugh all the time with his antics. He is a stick-chomper, tug-lover, squeaker afficionado, and destroyer of all but the most durable toys. After a morning walk, he settles on his (Serta) bed or gazes out the window while his people are off at work. Anytime you come home, he is there at the door toy in mouth and tail wagging furiously. He loves butt scratches and wont hesitate to put his rear end in your face. He is house trained, crate trained (begrudgingly), and knows all of the standard commands. In full transparency, Ollie does have a bite history: single punctures or bruises. He has generalized anxiety and fear-based reactivity, but his triggers are mostly predictable and manageable. I dearly love him, but I am in medical school and do not have the means. He'd thrive in a single-dog home with 1-2 owners willing to take him for long walks, continue his medication and work with him through triggers.

Story
Fynn came to us through a foster service about a year and a half ago. He had no medical history apart from his recent vaccinations and a note, "surrendered by owner." We were immediately taken by his goofy smile and cautious but curious approach. What we couldn't know at the time is that Fynn has substantial anxiety, especially around body handling and strangers in the home. We have since engaged with multiple trainers, vets, a behavioral therapist, and many well-meaning friends of ACDs in the effort to help Fynn feel comfortable in our home and community of West Philadelphia. In that year and a half, we have made a lot progress and developed a great relationship with Fynn. He is funny and eager to please, enjoys play and snuggling on the couch, and seems always ready for another adventure. Unfortunately, he also seems constantly triggered by the excessive noise and busy-ness of the city in which we live. We've reached a plateau and can't find a way to make him feel truly at home.

Story
Stripes is a 1 y/o (dob 8/20/22) neutered male dog. He is medium in size weighing around 35-40#. Stripes brindle color and body shape lead is to believe he is a Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, chipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention. Stripes has been around a 3 y/o child and did well but was a bit skittish of kid activity. Therefore, we believe Stripes would be more comfortable with older kids. He loves other dogs and plays well with others. Stripes knows to do his business outside and keeps the house and his kennel clean. He can be shy at first but warms up quickly. He does well with other dogs and they help him build his confidence. Stripes loves his human and likes to be close to them when he isn’t playing with other dogs. He does put himself in his kennel while his foster mom gets her work done. Stripes may take a while to warm up but once he's comfortable he's very loving. He is very loyal to his main human. He feels comfort in his crate and enjoys furry toys. Stripes is a laid back guy who loves nothing more than a cozy bed, belly rubs and human snuggles. Stripes loves car rides and does well just in the car and not in a crate. This sweet boy is looking for a caring home that will help him continue to build his confidence. He is being taken care of in TN but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
