Story
In the famous words of Lady Gaga, she was born this way! Roo was born with deformities in her front legs. But that has never stopped her from being the friendly, playful, girl that she is. Roo is about 2 years old, 23lbs, spayed & up to date on her vaccines. We are actively working with getting Roo acquainted with prosthetics for her front legs to reduce the wear on her front joints. She will need an adopter that is extra dedicated to her special needs & continue working with her on her prosthetics.DATCP# 483538

Rozzlo is a 1 year old, Red Heeler and Shepherd mix  Rozzlo and his litter mates were surrendered to the shelter at just 1 month old. He spent 2.5 months in the shelter, until his foster mom came in one day to pick out a new foster pup before Christmas! He has been with his foster mom for quite some time now because he requires an extra special someone to spend his life with.  He has a typical goofy puppy personality. He’s about 55 pounds and is great for someone looking for a dog that’s about the average size of a heeler. He loves his toys and tug of war is his favorite game. He enjoys a good game of chuck, too. Due to his breed mixture, he is extremely smart and learns most things quickly. He is kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience trained, he rides well in the car (in his kennel), he walks well on leash, and loves to cuddles. He is not allowed on all of the furniture, so he does have an understanding of house rules. He tolerates baths, but is amazing at getting his nails done, teeth brushing, and fur brushing! He is very funny, loves to rough house with his people, and loves to talk.  He will require some form of daily exercise and training to keep him balanced and fulfilled. However, he does not require an unmanageable amount.  Rozzlo is looking for a very special person or family. This person must understand dog behavior and be willing to take on the responsibility of a dog who will need special care & training to thrive. Due to being dropped at the shelter so young and his genetic make-up, Rozzlo has some sass. He needs to be the only pet and the only child, for the rest of his life. He loves his adult humans, but needs to have someone that won’t force him to try to “make friends” with everyone. He’s pretty shy and doesn’t really trust strangers. As long as his person advocates for him and his space, he does fine out and about.  As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. Story
Hello My name is Barney and I am eight months old – born on Aug 10 . My mother was a cattle dog, and nobody ever meet my dad. I am one of 7 siblings. My foster mom says I am charming or a sweet fellow and sometimes little lover boy. I am respectful around cats and have lived with all sizes of dogs. Sometimes I get a little nosey around other dogs and they can get mad at me. I am learning how to properly socialize with the help of my foster mom. My foster mom also has several young children. I am still learning what some of the yelling and running is about at times in the house, but I am catching on quickly. My foster home for several months was a farm with cows . I have been around tractors and moving vehicles in the yard. I used a doggie door and slept on doggie beds. Now I am at a new foster home to learn new things. I sleep in a crate now . We do adventure days now to places like the creek or hiking trails . Little shy at new things but motivated by treats and encouragement. I think I could be such a great family addition. I am neutered , micro chipped and up to date on vaccinations. I am on monthly heartworm meds and flea/tick meds. My adoption fee covers a health certificate to travel and transportation from Tennessee.

Gunner is a 3-month-old Heeler mix. He's very sweet & loves to cuddle! Since heelers are herding dogs he'll need plenty of exercise and like all pups, ongoing training. He LOVES outdoors so housebreaking should be a snap! He's dewormed & utd on age-appropriate vaccines. According to the weight calculator, he'll be about a 50lb adult. He's being fostered with dogs of all sizes as well as cats & is doing well. He'll do great with any child who has respectful dog manners.DATCP#483538

Story
Ok, everyone, I need your help!🙌 I'm 👑Charles III👑, a 2+ year old, 55 lb guy who is just about perfect in every way but one - I'm just not a fan of strangers!! But read on, and I'll tell you why you shouldn't pass me by👀I'm completely house trained, crate trained but trusted loose while my people are away, I love walks (an old back leg injury does not slow me down) once I get comfortable with you, although you'll have to remind me not to bark at passersby, and well behaved on car rides. I only chew on my dog toys (hard toys only please!), have no issues sharing toys, food and treats with humans and doggy friends. And I LOVE my dog friends!! I'm very good at reading what those friends are like and adjusting my play style to what works best for them. I always come running when called, am 100% devoted to my family, and will do anything to please them.So - about this stranger thing. I have a hard time trusting new people at first. I bark and growl and try to scare them away! I find one person right away and bond to them quickly, then need more time to adjust to others in the home. But if you're patient and have a few days (note: this can take up to a week plus!), I'll warm up to you and lavish all my love on you! And I remember every person I've let into my circle - I saw a volunteer I met weeks ago, and treated her like a long lost bestie. Besides needing patience, I also ➡️NEED⬅️ a confident doggy playmate to take the lead that will show me new people are okay. When I see my dog friend getting affection, my craving for love will be overcome and soon I'll be right there asking for pets! Because of my herding tendencies, dog-savvy kids over 10 are best. And I recently visited a house with a cat who's used to dogs, she let me know she wasn't interested and I listened. My foster mom says I'm a 🪄Goldilocks🪄 kind of guy, I need a home that's *just right*. But if you think that's you, get your application in so we can start our happily everDATCP# 483538

Story
Meet Princess Leia - the 1.5-year-old, 25lb little fox with a heart of gold. Coming from a hoarding situation where she never felt safe or truly cared for, Leia has already overcome so much. Now, it's her time to shine, to be spoiled, & to experience the warmth of a loving home.In her foster home, Leia was reserved at first, but came out of her shell very quickly. Leia is the epitome of "chill" & loves to lounge for the majority of the day. Her favorite place to sleep is on top of all of the couch pillows. She has blossomed into a playful pup, eager to explore & play chase with her foster sibs. When she is excited, she wiggles her butt like there is no tomorrow! She is currently being fostered with both dogs & cats & enjoys everyone! Leia has not met many children, so kids will be determined on a case-by-case basis.Leia enjoys meeting new people but needs to move at her own pace. Finding her forever home means finding a family who will be patient & gentle, & who will offer her the time & space she needs to grow & flourish. For the lucky soul who opens their heart to Leia, the reward is immeasurable – a lifetime of love, sweetness, & the quiet resilience of a little fox who has finally found her place to call home.DATCP# 483538
