I have been at the shelter since Nov 03, 2023.This information is less than 1 hour old.Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:Meet Shadow, our 7-month-old Australian Kelpie mix! This ball of energy is on the hunt for a forever home that's ready to keep up with his spirited nature. Shadow's a bundle of joy and curiosity, but he needs a family equipped to train and manage an active pup. With the right guidance and lots of playtime, he'll be your loyal companion for life! Story
************COURTESY POST***** NOT AT THE SHELTER SEE NUMBER TO CALL BELOW***** Hello, I'm Maximus, but my friends call me Max. I celebrated my third birthday in September 2023. Max is a well-behaved pup who responds to both verbal and non-verbal commands. He's crate-trained, full of energy, and thrives when given tasks to do. We believe he's an Australian Kelpie mix with some other breed. Max walks excellently on a harness and leash. Outdoors, Max can be protective if someone approaches too closely to him or his loved ones. He grew up in a household with another older dog, birds, and children. Due to changes in our circumstances, we need to find a new home for Max. He deserves to have more freedom than an apartment can provide, especially while we're away at work. Additionally, with a baby on the way in March, we worry that Max may not adjust well to the change, as he's used to interacting with slightly older children. If you have any questions or if I've missed any important details, please feel free to reach out to me at 530-554-5091. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Story
Hi, my name is Leslie! Through no fault of my own, I found myself back at the shelter in search of a furever home. I almost 2 years old, spayed, and have a ton of love to give! I am an Australian Kelpie mix and am known to be an excellent family dog, affectionate with children, and typically get along well with other animals. I am currently housed with another dog, so with a slow, proper introduction, I will likely do well with another dog. Kelpie`s are also known to be eager to please and highly trainable. I`m full grown and at about 40 lbs, I am the perfect, medium-size dog. I am a little shy at first, but LOVE belly and ear rubs. Please come meet me today - I promise, I am worth it!Please remember that the shelter is a stressful environment; many dogs come to Front Street as strays without any known history. While staff and volunteers do their best to learn about each dog, behavior in the shelter is not always the same as behavior in a home. Keeping the 3/3/3 Decompression Rule in mind is important. Three days for initial decompression, three weeks to learn the routines of your household, and three months to start to feel relaxed and safe in the home. When you adopt, foster, or are a new pet parent, it`s especially important to consider.

Story
My name is Hailey, I LOVE attention and playing with other dogs. I ADORE women but am very timid/nervous around men. I would do best in a female household. I would really love a yard to run around in to get my zoomies out. I will chase a ball but don't count on me to bring it back. I enjoy running and going on long walks. I am house trained.March 26, 2024, 8:46 pm
