Story
Hello! My name is Crow. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m ready to find a new home!I can be a bit of a shy lady at first, but I really am so, so sweet. I`m a bit of a `velcro dog` and would like someone who enjoys being together all the time - snuggling, playing, and just relaxing. I walk pretty nicely on leash and would like a home where I can get outdoors regularly for some good, fresh air. I`m lukewarm on treats and toys, but that may change once I`m settled in a home. Right now I`m only kind of interested in squeaky toys. Mostly I just want you to squeak them for me, it makes me so happy I start bowing and bouncing all over the place. I weigh 42lbs and am considered a medium size dog. Due to my shyness, I may be most successful in a teen/adult home. My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Hi, Tomasa is my name and if you want an all around easy dog to get along with - I'm your girl! I love to swim, run, and play. I can already imagine all the fun things we could do together. But I am also very content to lay be your feet and just chill. Don't worry - I'll periodically give you my paw to let you know I'm there and available for cuddling. I don't need constant attention, but I'll take as much as you want to give.I can be a bit shy when we first meet but I warm up quickly and then we are best friends.I am still a young girl who is very curious and learning new things all the time. I getting pretty good at walking on a leash without pulling - and with your help I'm sure I'll be perfect soon! And did I mention I love treats? I already know how to sit for a treat. Being food motivated makes me easy to train. I get along great with most dogs after we are introduced, but I can be a bit vocal with dogs that I don’t know. Once we are introduced, we're good friends. In fact, I go for walks on our La Paz Malecon every Wednesday just so I can meet new dogs and people and be a social girl. If you like an all-around great dog - who has energy to play when you are ready, will chill and lay at your feet while you work, and be ready for cuddles when it's time -- I'm definitely the girl for you.If you think we could have a happy life together, then just click on the "Apply to Adopt" button. I will be waiting for you! To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
MEET GIGI! Gigi is a sweet girl with an old soul who will steal your heart. She is a little over a year old and currently weighs about 40 lbs., and is in a foster home in the Greater Seattle area. She is a wonderful medium-size dog for an active person or people. Gigi is housetrained and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash and is calm on car rides and in the home. She is such a well behaved girl it boggles our mind how she ended up as a stray in an overcrowded California shelter, where no one came for her. Without question, Gigi will be your companion through thick and thin. She is loyal and intelligent, and her favorite thing is just to cuddle up with you on the couch. She sits well for treats. Gigi loves kids, most other dogs and would do best with a submissive dog. We do not know how she is with cats. If you would like to meet this amazing girl, please email for an application. Thank you.

Story
This is Scorpio. This adorable doggie is a very easy going dog.  He loves the outdoors and will be a perfect camping buddy for someone.  He is gets along with other dogs (slow introductions always).  He is crate and leash trained.  He loves his humans.  This boy is ok during car rides too.  He is ready to find his loving home.  Are you his human? Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received. www.springbrachrescue.org ##1711245##

Story
Animal Profile: Carrot is a now 1-year-old 40 lb spayed female that we think is predominantly Kelpie. She was acquired by a family for their autistic child as a service dog. They soon realized they didn't have the financial or other capability for necessary training and surrendered her to the rural Los Banos shelter, where she was euthanasia listed for space. She was assessed to be friendly and social with people and dogs. Foster Update: Carrot is a sweet girl with typical puppy energy. She's very friendly when meeting new people and other dogs. She has high energy and loves to zoom around the yard with her bigger dog friend. This girl also loves to hike and explore! She recently did an over 10-mile hike and loves long walks, 5-7 miles, in the city and in parks or on trails. She likes her toys - especially her namesake carrot stuffy - and takes care not to destroy them; when excited, she is learning to redirect by placing a ball or a “chew” toy in her mouth. She is improving with walking on a leash, but remains very interested in the world around her so needs encouragement to focus on the task at hand. She is potty trained, her recall is coming along, and her crate training is much improved, though she still prefers to have her people in the room with her while in her crate. When she's out of the crate she likes to be near her humans and will lie down or play with one of her toys; she's surprisingly calm inside. She has not been evaluated with cats or kids. Carrot will do best in a family that is home most of the day or can bring her along with them, has a dog playmate that can match her energy, and is able to continue to provide stability, love, and training to help her be her best self. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Los Banos shelter where she was euth listed for space. She arrived to foster care in Seattle on 5/21. April 16, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
Dog Name: Fossi aka Mr. Ears Age: Approx 4-5 years (as of 4/11/23) Gender: Male Breed: Australian Cattle Dog / Boxer Mix Good with dogs? Yes, very! see notes Good with cats? No, see notes Good with kids? Unknown, not recommended What is Fossi's rescue story? The adorable Fossi aka Mr. Ears was saved from the euthanasia list in New Mexico in April and arrived in WA at the end of September. While he had completely shut down in the shelter environment, he has blossomed in his foster home. Temperment/Personality: He is extremely curious, smart, and playful. Our best guess is he is between 4 and 5 years old. He is a wonderful companion and wants to be a part of everything you do...whether that's running, cooking, going on errands in the car, or cuddling and napping.Fossi is AMAZING with other doggoes. The owner of the boarding facility he stayed at while his foster parents were traveling for the holidays said he was "her go-to dog who could be introduced to and play with any of the other dogs!" He would really love another pup in his forever home to show him the ropes. He can get overexcited when another dog is on leash, so his adopters will need to be willing to work with him on his fear and stress response to that specific type of interaction. What does Fossi's ideal home look like? Fossi deserves a patient forever family who is comfortable taking people introductions slowly. While his foster dad immediately gained his trust, some men are scary to Fossi upon first meeting. He has great leash manners and LOVES going for walks and runs. His best life is with someone who works from home, is home often and can provide him with lots of mental and physical stimulation, or someone who is willing to take him on all their travels! He would thrive with one or more dog siblings.Kids are currently unknown. He has also not been cat-tested, but shows an interest in chasing small animals; outdoor cats, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. Apply to meet this silly, resilient, athletic red heeler.  Adoption fee $350 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##1695137##

He behaves very well in social settings and new environments and follows commands very well. He has Low - Medium activity level. He is very intelligent and intuitive. Indiana is open with people and balanced, curious and intuitive. He behaves very well in social and new environments and follows commands very well. What does the dog's ideal home look like? A Family with kids and a yard where he can be inspecting and wandering or he also would be happy indoors. Ideally with a person that loves walks or to explore during the weekends with the family.
