Story
Starboard is still looking for a home! Starboard is a little over 3 months old. Our best guess for her breed wise is a border collie/lab type mix. She's ready to be your best friend and shadow! This little lady is pretty darn great! Her foster says she eats well, respects the pack order, and is respectful of the resident cats. She goes potty out side as long as you pay attention to her, and she knows how to sit! At night, she sleeps in the kennel with only a few minutes of protest, if any. Plus, she's downright adorable!! Can it get any better than that?! If you think Starboard would make the perfect addition to your family, please submit an application! ##1945255##

GET YOUR APPLICATIONS IN TODAY Hey there! We are thrilled to introduce you to our adorable litter of puppies. These little cuties are an absolute delight to behold, and we suspect they are a mix of border collie and terrier breeds. At just seven weeks old, they already weigh an impressive 5 pounds each! When it comes to their personalities, these puppies are incredibly outgoing. Most of them are quite sociable, although there are a couple who are a bit more reserved. However, they all adore people. It seems that they came from a situation where they didn't always have enough to eat, which has led to some food aggression issues among them. But don't worry, they are improving day by day. These precious pups will require homes where they can receive continued training and kindness. It's important that they have access to food whenever they need it, so they may need to be fed separately for a while. We have been working with them, and they are already showing signs of improvement and becoming more calm. One of our main concerns is that these puppies have already experienced so much hardship at such a young age. We want to ensure that their food aggression doesn't escalate as they grow older. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting one of these little guys, it's crucial that you have some knowledge and willingness to address their behavior issues, particularly when it comes to food and interactions with other dogs. But don't worry, with a little more time and guidance, they can overcome these challenges. If you're ready to open your heart and home to one of these precious puppies, we invite you to visit our website at denkaisanctuary.org. We estimate that they will likely reach a size of around 40 to 50 pounds, or possibly even less. So, if you're looking for a loving companion who will grow into a medium-sized dog, these puppies might just be the perfect fit for you! ##2012398##

Story
Are you ready to fall in love with those puppy dog eyes?    Checkers, this adorable little 11 week old border collie mix is just starting to discover the world. She unfortunately had a rough beginning when her family was surrendered to a shelter in Kansas due to their owner losing his house. We are grateful we could help the babies and brought them to safety in Colorado.    Checkers was placed in a foster home where she could receive more personal attention and training. She's learning the ropes from her foster momma dog Nala. For the most part, she's a relaxed little pup! Yes, she's still young, so occasional hyper moments are to be expected. But with her irresistibly adorable and sweet face, who would mind?   If you'd be interested in adding Checkers to your family, please submit an application here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/16519/generic ##2012406##
