Hi there! My name is Hobie, and I am a one-year old Miniature Australian Shepherd who weighs 25.8 pounds. I am described as shy, reserved, and timid. I’m a breeder release so I didn’t receive proper socialization. Everything seems new and scary to me but I am learning how to be a real pup in my foster home! Due to my more fearful nature, I need a quieter home with kids 16 or older. I'll need to be your one and only canine companion. I do best with woman and would love a home with women to shower me with love. If there is a man in the home, he will need to be very patient with me as we work on building trust. My forever family will need to give me time to acclimate to my new environment. I will typically go to my spot on the couch or my crate when I’m scared. I am fully house trained and even learned the doggy door very quickly on my own! However, I will need a fully fenced in yard at my forever home. I have slowly warmed up to my foster family. They shared that I am such a sweet boy and I “desperately want to love and be loved.” His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.  Hi, I'm Trapper Boi! I was brought to PVCHS with a bunch of other dogs due to a hoarding case. I love to play with tennis balls and can almost always be found carrying one (or two) around. I will play fetch all day every day. I prefer to be the only dog in the home. Please consider visiting me at the shelter! Unless otherwise stated, the adoption fees for dogs over 5 months range from $50-$175. Puppies under 5 months are $175.00. Dog adoption fees include a microchip.The adoption fee includes the animal's surgery, vaccinations, flea preventative, deworming medication, sample bag of food/treat samples and a free first exam with participating veterinarians. Shelter policy and 2018 Indiana state law decrees all animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter.Our shelter is open to the public on Monday- Saturday from 8:00 am -5:00 pm EST with the exception of Wednesdays on which we typically open by 1:00 pm. Ballroom is a character. He loves attention and wants to be right with his people. He has done very well with other dogs and cats. He doesn't care for the kennel, but will go in with encouragement. He is working on potty training, and is about 75% there. He loves treats and is very food motivated. He has not chewed anything in his foster home and would be a great addition to any family.
