Story
Redd is an amazing dog, he's super friendly with other dogs, and people. He's a little shy at first but once he gets to know you, he will never stop giving you hugs. He loves walks, car rides, and laying on the couch all day. Redd is a very versatile dog, he's the type that completely matches your energy, if you want to lay on the couch all day he will do just that, if you wanna go for a mile run, he will be right beside you.

Story
Did my beautiful coat and striking eyes catch your attention? I'm Fern, a sweet yet reserved gal looking for a place to call my own. While it may take some time for us to get to know each other, I promise it will be worth it! I'm a bouncy and fun-loving girl at heart that's just as happy to play fetch in the yard as I am to climb in your lap. I'll need to find an experienced home with someone that understands my activity needs and is able to provide all kinds of physical and mental exercise. Stop by the SPCA if I sound like the one for you!

Story
Introducing Darcey Rose!  She is a six-year-old blue merle mini Aussie who was released from a large breeding kennel.  Since she is very new to rescue, she has lots of new things to learn. Darcey is a bit overweight so we are working on exercise and eating health and she will be back to her petite self soon.  She lives with six over dogs and gets along with all of them.  We are not sure how she is with cats, but she is good with children.  Darcey is crate trained and is housebroken.  She would do best with another dog to play with and a fenced-in yard for her to run around.  If you are interested in meeting Darcy, fill out an application today.   NY AG/MKTS RR 363 Darcey Rose is being fostered in BuffaloDarcey Rose's adoption donation is $400

Story
Bucky is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix. He is a little joyous ball of energy weighing around 30lbs. He goes very few places without a ball in his mouth, is incredibly athletic, and loves attention from everyone he meets. He is cat neutral, gets along great with all dogs (though dogs that want to reciprocate play will be necessary), crates wonderfully, and is potty trained with a consistent routine! Bucky came from a hoarding case in KY where someone passing themselves off as a rescue had dogs chained outside in deplorable conditions with no shelter, and eventually started dumping dogs to cover their tracks. A long time rescuer saved 60 dogs from the situation, and 2 of them made their way to us up north to search for their forever families with us! Bucky is searching for a home with children over the age of 10 and a fully fenced yard due to his energy level. He does well with dogs of all sizes, but does want to play with them all, so dogs under 20lbs and of toy stature, older dogs, or very dog-shy dogs would not be a good fit. Bucky is accepting applications and is currently available for meet and greets with approved adopters! If you’re interested in adopting him or getting pre-approved for our other dogs, please fill out the adoption application at www.RosebudRescue.com/adopt

Story
Reason is an approx. 9 month old female Australian Shepherd weighing 35lbs. She spent the start of her life living in deplorable conditions at a puppy mill before recently coming into rescue. She is so sweet, very interested in making new friends (dog and people!) and is incredibly treat and praise motivated which should make training a breeze! She LOVES toys and almost always has one with her. She has the typical high energy of an Aussie but also loves a good cuddle session! She understands the concept of going potty outside with a consistent schedule and crates well in a quiet area. Reason’s leash training is a work in progress as she is fearful of pressure from the leash, but has already improved immensely. We will send her off with some tips and tricks to work through this and as with all of our dogs, will be here for training advice throughout and after her adoption. NO cats or small dogs due to her herding instincts, however Reason’s ideal adopter would have another playful dog in the house over 20lbs to keep her company. A fully fenced yard is required at this time due to her energy level and leash training. Reason is accepting applications and is currently available for meet and greets with approved adopters! If you’re interested in adopting her or getting pre-approved for our other dogs, please fill out the adoption application at www.RosebudRescue.com/adopt Please note, Reason is only available on a foster-to-adopt basis until spayed.

Story
Name: Lance DOB: 10/21/23 Breed: Border Collie mix Sex: Male Weight: 40 lbs  Hi my name is Lance. I am dashing young guy who loves life, people and other dogs. There is a cat at my foster‘s house that I have met. I try to play with her but she isn’t interested. I have a foster canine sibling and I love her. We play all the time and to be honest I can’t get enough play time. I have been out in the snow and it kind of scares me. FYI .. I am from Texas! But my foster mom brings me out everyday and tells me it’s fun to play in it. I am trying!!! I am looking for my furever home where I don’t have a lot of alone time. I need people around and another dog would be great! So my requirements are a fenced in yard and a playmate! If you’re looking for a lovable guy, check me out!!! ##1875256##

Story
Disclaimer: I'm currently soaking up the Texas sun, but the great news is that I can be transported to my forever home once adopted, and the transport fee is $230.My journey began when I was surrendered, along with my four precious puppies, because my family couldn't provide the care I needed. I'm a bundle of energy and an incredible jumper! My foster mom thinks I have all the potential to excel in agility training courses. While I absolutely adore the company of other dogs, I'm not a fan of being on my own, so a home with a calmer dog would be a perfect fit to help me settle. I'm a social butterfly who cherishes my human companions and still carries that puppy-like spirit in my heart. In my previous home, I was raised alongside three children, aged 8 to 16, so I'm sure to thrive in an energetic family environment. If you're looking for a furry friend who's ready to embark on adventures with you, look no further. Apply today and let's make a fantastic team!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
My name is Buddy and I think it's fair to say it's a pretty appropriate name! I'm looking for a kind and fun-loving person to be my new best friend. I'll need to find an experienced home that understands my unique needs as a herding dog - I'm an active guy that loves to think and learn and wouldn't enjoy sitting on the couch all day. If you're looking for an energetic guy to take on adventures or have fun in some dog sports with, I might be the one for you! Come meet me today at the SPCA!
