Story
Welcome the Greek mythology litter. These sweeties were born in the home of one of Mostly Muttz Rescue's southern affiliates. Momma was discovered as a stray, looking for a meal. Thankfully, the beautiful Australian Shepherd mix found her way to a loving foster to help the momma give birth, so her puppies could thrive.
"I'm PHIL, named for the Greek god Philoctetes. I have been in my new foster home without my siblings for about 2 weeks now and I am learning so much! Although I like to play with other dogs, I'm okay by myself too. I can entertain myself by playing with toys or chewing bones. My foster family taught me to play fun games like fetch and tug-of-war, which I'm getting really good at. My favorite thing to do, though, is whatever my people are doing. I prefer when they carry me around with them, but I have no problem following them and sitting or laying patiently nearby until they can give me some attention. Now that the weather is nice I have gotten to play outside more and discovered the joys of sticks and leaves and piles of loose freshly mowed grass! My foster mom says I'm the perfect combination of playful and snuggly."
Phil is about 75% housebroken because he knows what to do outside but still needs work on "telling" someone when he needs to go out. He will go to the door but if he's not let out right away he will go inside. With closer monitoring and more consistency than his foster home can offer, he will be fully trained in no time. He is very smart and learns quickly. He is crate-trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He knows "no", "go potty", and "sit". Currently working on "come" and "out". He is great with kids, cats, and dogs.
