Cleo is an 8 year old toy Aussie female. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and heart worm negative. She is great with kids and other dogs. She is housebroken, but does need to be on a leash or in a fenced in yard, when out to potty or play. She does roam if she gets a chance. She loves to carry around a bone. She needs soft food due to having some teeth removed. Not sure what she went thru before we found her, but she does need to earn your trust. Or you need to earn her trust basically!! SHE JUST NEEDS A LAP TO LAY ON. Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. Haven is a beautiful girl born on February 4th to a beautiful red and white Australian Sheperd momma named Maggie.  This sweet stray momma gave birth bravely to 13 puppies and 11 survived.  A monstrous job of raising them lay ahead and she rose to the occasion.  This girl puppy named Haven is one of the 11 who are looking for a home that will enjoy her beauty and intelligence for a long time.  Haven has an unknown daddy that perhaps she takes after.  This girl is with Momma Kim who says that she is the more laidback and low key puppy of the four that she is fostering from the original litter of 11.  When it is playtime little Haven perks up and becomes a very active little girl who is ready to romp and wrestle to her heart’s content. Right in the middle of mischief, Haven is not a vocal girl who also possesses the desire to cuddle and snuggle with her human foster mom. This little girl is around other dogs, cats and of course people.  She is comfortable with her surroundings and just a sweetheart. Hello, you lucky people! I know, when you hear the name Bianca you think of Beautiful and of course I am all of that and more.  But even though I am small in stature, but big in personality, I am an adorable force of nature. How big will I be when I grow up? Who knows, but my foster mom says I have enough cuteness and cuddles for any size.I am crate-trained, which is not the same as housebroken, but it means I don’t mind being in my crate and usually keep it clean and dry. I might holler and howl out of protest when you first put me in my crate, but my foster mommy says don’t be fooled. I’ll settle down with a blanket and toy after a little while. When I first go to a new home I will just have to get used to being without my brothers and sisters and get used to my new family. I sleep in my crate at night just fine but with company. I love mealtime and I also love to chase toys. If you get me settled on a blanket next to you, I love a good snuggle time filled with love.I’m ready. Come and get me!
