Story
We adopted Cash a little over a year ago because our first Bulldog passed away in 2021. After a year of having Cash, our schedules have gotten to the point where we cannot give him the love and attention he deserves. My husband and I both work and we own a business, unfortunately due to our schedule this leaves us not a lot of time to commit to Cash. Cash is a sweet, loving and affectionate dog. He is a total cuddle monster and if you are sitting down, he wants to be sleeping on your lap. He is a bulldog, however and that stubbornness is well and alive with this boy. He pouts if he doesnt get his way and he will be persistent with getting what he wants. He has never been aggressive to anyone, or other dogs, he just gets a little hump happy, but will stop when told. Overall we love this dog and hate to have to let him go, we just dont feel he is getting the love and attention he deserves.

Story
You have got to meet Sassafrass. Pictures do not say it all! She is a super smart pup who loves to snuggle. She LOVES people, car rides, other dogs and cats. Every living creature is a potential friend. The moment she spots a human, her tail starts wagging. She is a sweetheart on all levels and one of her favorite things to do is to snuggle. Sassafrass is a tan English bulldog mix and currently weighs 42 pounds. She is three years old, fully house and crate trained. She knows some commands. She is described as muscle wrapped in velvet so her strength and enthusiasm can be overwhelming to small dogs and younger (under age 5) kids. She is house and crate trained. She needs to continue to work on her leash skills as she has a tendency to pull. She loves to play with balls but cannot have tennis balls, as she shreds them. Kong type balls/toys are fine. Giving her an activity will keep her from being bored. It is important to remember that even though she is house trained, potty accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Bulldog mixes are known for their friendliness, intelligence, and loyalty to family. They want to be around people, not left alone a lot. Sassafrass is a confident girl with a medium amount of energy, who will benefit from daily exercise and playtime, maybe at a dog park. Interested? Read on!The adoption fee for Sassafrass is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.April 19, 2024, 6:12 am

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.2/24/24 Still available! 2/4/24 *Bonded pair*.  Shortbread (brindle) and Poundcake (brown) are absolutely precious! These little girls are 4 months old. They were surrendered to our rescue by the breeder because they both have Spina Bifida. They have no mobility issues at all- the only symptom is that they are both bladder and bowel incontinent. They will always have to wear diapers. The upside is that you don't have to worry about house training them! These are probably the easiest pups I've ever had. They don't get into things, not big chewers, easy to correct, and they love to snuggle, but if you can't snuggle, they will find a soft spot to snuggle with each other or play together. They are just as sweet as can be, and you have to admit, they are incredibly cute in their little diapers and suspenders! Even though they are still just babies, they are old souls. Despite the diapers, they are very easy to care for. We have them sleep in a crate together, without their diapers, on a grid, so their pee/poop goes under them, and they aren't sitting in it. In the mornings, they eat in their crate, then about 30 min after eating, I put their diapers on them and they come out for the day. I usually only change them one time throughout the day. Then, at night, I remove their diapers and put them back in their crates to eat dinner, and they are perfectly content to go to bed and rest for the remainder of the night. They love to go outside on nice days and explore the yard, but it should be noted that as English Bulldogs, they should never be allowed to stay outside on warm days due to their increased risk for heat stroke. They love being picked up and held or just talked to. They are very affectionate, but not at all demanding. They must be adopted together and stay together. Before applying, please think about whether you will want to deal with diapers on 2 dogs for the next 10+ years. While they are very easy, it is still a major commitment, and I don't want them to ever be separated or booted outside due to their adopter getting frustrated. So please put a lot of thought into whether you are ready for that kind of commitment. They are not free, nor will they be a deeply discounted adoption. Even though they have Spina Bifida, they are still wonderful, and I want them to go to someone who knows their worth and will love them, diapers and all. They are special to me and can stay here with me for however long it takes to find them the perfect home. Please private message for info on the adoption fee. They are up to date on vaccinations and I have had them spayed and microchipped.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
This smudgy little girl is WILLOW.  She also has 2 sisters available for adoption, SAGE & VIOLET.  They all 3 have different looks and personalities.  Their personalities have just started to develop but at 8 weeks old they are still young enough to train and mold into a great family pet. Currently they are sharing a play pen with a different set of puppies but they long to get out and play with the bigger dogs.  The puppies should get to be about 30 pounds as adults.  Their parents are medium size stocky and muscular dogs with very good temperaments. You are welcome to meet them anytime if you are local, if you are out of state, we will provide a video so you can see them in action.  These are funny and cute little puppies who would really love their own home. If you are interested in adopting one of them, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         September 20, 2023, 8:15 am

Story
Meet Bronx… Bronx was found abandoned, tied to a bench in Hartford CT recently… Bronx is 3-4 years old about 55lbs… Bronx is an active bulldog he however does not know his limits, his time outside in the heat does need to be limited but he doesn’t know it, he could easily overheat himself if given the opportunity… Bronx’s listening skills need some work, we thought he was possibly deaf but have learned he has some serious selective bulldog hearing… He has been a great boy since coming to us, he has gotten along with dogs he’s met a meet and greet is a must with any dog sibling… We leaned at the vet he does not like being restrained he can get a bit upset… We are looking for an adult only home with no cats… Bronx is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he had a dental done and a few teeth pulled… Applications can be filled out @ wwk9rescue.com
